Join us Sunday, July 26th at 8:30 AM for the Surfside Hotel "Surfin’ Santa’s Christmas in July 5K and Holiday Stroll" to benefit St Vincent’s Swim Across the Sound.

Event Details

• Participation Limit: We have a strict, 250 person limit!
• Last Year's Success: Last year we sold out ahead of the race date.
• Event Options: You can run or walk the "chip timed" 3.11 mile/5K event or walk the UNTIMED one-mile Holiday Stroll option. All abilities are welcome.
• Age Requirement: Everyone 21 & over is eligible for a terrific "holiday cheer" drink after their finish.

Fundraiser Recipient

2026 Fundraiser Recipient: St Vincent’s Swim Across The Sound: Each Summer, swimmers make the 15.5 mile trek across the Long Island Sound from Port Jefferson to Bridgeport. The Swim raises more than $500,000 a year to support oncology programs and provide financial assistance to cancer patients and families in our community regardless of where they are treated.

Event Schedule

• Registration Opens: May 1
• Deadline for Guaranteed Shirt: July 12 - Registration deadline at midnight for guaranteed shirt.
• Bib & Swag Pickup: Saturday, July 25, 8:30-10:30 AM: Sunday, July 26, 7:15-8:25 AM.
• Event Start: 8:30 AM START Timed 5K RUN / walk & untimed one-mile stroll.

Registration Fees

• 5K Timed Event: 5/1-5/31: $33, 6/1-6/30: $37, 7/1-7/26: $40.
• One-Mile Walk Only (Untimed Event): 5/1-5/31: $30, 6/1-6/30: $33, 7/1-7/26: $35.

• Timing: Computer chip timing for the 5K.

• Grand Prize: 1st Men’s/1st Women’s Grand Prize: THE Surfside Getaway! One night midweek getaway at the Surfside Hotel.

• Special Awards: Swim Across the Sound gift baskets awarded to the participant showing the most Holiday Cheer.

Course Details

Great water views, 95.6% flat, and quiet roads. Roads are OPEN - you'll run/walk safely ON THE LEFT, FACING TRAFFIC - be aware at all times. We ask that you NOT use ear pods of any type so you can hear any warnings during your event.

Safety Information

This safe, modified event follows all state guidelines and health department mandates with protocols in place. Valet parking is NOT available!
