🎃 Jack-O-Lantern 5K & 10K Overview

• Year Celebrated: 2026 marks the 8th annual Jack-O-Lantern 5K & 10K.
• Location: Races will take place along the scenic Upper Bucks Rail Trail in Quakertown.
• Proceeds: Funds will primarily support the new Richland Township Fire & Rescue - Utility Vehicle fund.
• Presented by: The Knights of Columbus – Quakertown and Richland Township Fire & Rescue.

⏰ Start Time

• Start Schedule: The 5K and 10K races will begin at 8 am.
• Pacing: Pace times will be posted to assist runners in self-seeding.
• Timing: The event is chip-timed.
• Course Direction: Both races will head south towards Veterans Park.

💲 Student Pricing

• Discounts: Reduced or eliminated fees for participants 19 years old and younger.
• Group Splitting: Age groups for under 19: 10 to 19 and Under 10.
• Pricing for Ages 10-19: Half-price compared to the regular adult cost.
• Free Entry: Participants 9 years old and younger can register for free.

🎃 Pumpkin Challenge

• What it is: An optional challenge where participants can carry a pumpkin throughout the race.
• Weight: Choose a pumpkin weighing between 2 to 5 lbs. from our patch.
• Finisher Prize: Successfully completing the challenge awards you a pumpkin and a prize.
• Eligibility: Runners under 9 years old cannot participate in this challenge.

🥇 Awards

• Overall Awards: Top overall male and female winners.
• Master Awards: Top Master male and female winners.
• Age Groups: Top 3 finishers in each age group will be recognized.
• All Participants: Each race has Overall and Age Group categories for awards.

📝 Entry Fees

• June 1st to Sept 1st: $30 for ages 20 and older: $15 for ages 10 to 19: Free for under 10.
• Sept 7th to Sept 25th: $35 for ages 20 and older: $17.50 for ages 10 to 19: Free for under 10.
• Race Day (Sept 26th): $40 for ages 20 and older: $20 for ages 10 to 19: Free for under 10.
• Pumpkin Challenge Add-On: Additional $7 to participate.

👕 Amenities

• Shirts Provided: Moisture-wicking shirts for ages 10 and over who register by Sept 7th.
• Cotton Shirts: Provided for participants under 10 years old.
• Supplies: Registrations after Sept 7th will receive shirts while supplies last.
• Finisher Prize: Only participants of the Pumpkin Challenge will receive a finisher prize.

🚻 Course Information

• Trail: The racecourse is on packed gravel and includes the paved Richland Twp Veterans Park.
• Restroom Facilities: Indoor restrooms available along with Port-O-Potties to reduce lines.
• Post-Race Food: Free refreshments from local establishments will be provided.
• Starting Point: The race starts and finishes on the Upper Bucks Rail Trail near the Richland Township Fire & Rescue building.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: Friday (9/26) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, and Saturday from 6:30 to 7:50 am.
• Location: At the Richland Twp Fire & Rescue building.
• Stroller Policy: Strollers are welcome: however, no animals are allowed for safety reasons.
