🏃♂️ Event Overview
Join us in our 2nd Annual Running for The Edson!
A 5k course mostly through the grounds of the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum, starting and ending at the ship. The run will take place July 7th and will be timed by local legend, Ted Davenport from BARC.
💰 What You’ll Give
- Financial Support: some money to help keep The Edson Museum afloat financially.
- Exciting Projects: This year we have many exciting projects taking place.
- Deck Preservation: Deck preservation is a big one along with our new memorial garden.
- Memorial Garden: "In honor of" bricks laying the foundation.
🥇 What You’ll Receive
- Medal: Everyone will receive a medal designed by the Edson staff.
- Runner’s Shirt: You’ll also get a runner's shirt.
- Free Entry: Free entry on-board the Edson, if you pre-register.
- Gun Start: You’ll get a bona fide gun start. From the ship. A real live gun will shoot off to get you started. Literally a gun start.
🏋️♂️ Additional Amenities
- Stretching Assistance: Midland and Freeland Sports Rehab will be here to assist in stretching before and after the race!
- Refreshments: Of course, there will be water and snacks when you finish.
- Personnel Availability: There will be plenty of The Edson's personnel about if you wanted to ask questions about the ship.
