Gold Star Mother, Samantha Mecke, Announces the 2nd Annual Memorial Run in Honor of Airman Christian Bellmore.

❤️ Purpose of the Run

Samantha Mecke, a Gold Star mother and 18 year active duty service member in the United States Army, is honored to announce the 2nd Annual Memorial Run in tribute to her son, Airman Christian Bellmore, who tragically passed away while serving on active duty. This event aims to raise awareness about healthcare in the military and support first-term service members.

• Objective: Provide meaningful support and mentorship to new service members.
• Proceeds: Half of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Merritt Island Veterans Memorial Center.
• Support: The organization has profoundly honored Christian’s memory and supported Samantha and her family during their most challenging time.
• Join Us: Participants and supporters are invited to honor Airman Christian Bellmore’s legacy and contribute to a cause that ensures new service members receive the care and mentorship they need.

🚪 Event Logistics

• Entrance: All runners and guests to use the West entrance of Veterans Memorial Park.
• Access: No access through the Center and museum due to construction. Will email the route week of the race.
• Parking: There are 50 spaces available: overage can park along the harbor woods road or in the mall near Fortenberry Rd.
• Prizes: There will be prizes for top overall finishers and Medals for 1st, second, and third by age group men and women.
