🌟 Event Overview
Welcome to the Strides for STEM 5K, the premier run/walk event supporting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) outreach and community building in the Research Triangle.
- Formerly Known: This event was formerly known as NC DNA Day 5K.
- Support for Education: Funds raised from this event will support STEM outreach programs created by the WinSPIRE Research Program.
- Student Interaction: Programs aim to break down barriers surrounding STEM-based careers by allowing high school students to interact directly with STEM professionals.
- Event Date: Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 for our third annual Strides for STEM 5K.
🤝 Community Impact
Strides for STEM 5K supports local STEM students, professions, and groups by helping build a stronger sense of STEM community in the Research Triangle.
- Unique Event: As the only STEM road race in the Chapel Hill area, we are proud to bring together STEM enthusiasts from academia, industry, and nonprofits.
- Funding Support: Funds raised also support STEM enrichment for high schoolers locally and state-wide.
