The Cut Carbon Run

Event Overview

• Organizer: Brought to you by Students Cutting Carbon Emissions, a 501c3 organization. Learn more HERE.
• Date and Time: Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 am.
• Location: Chesterton Athletic Field, N Park Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44122.
• Activities: 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will begin at the same time.

Registration

• Pricing: Thru May 31st - $25.
• Late Registration: June 1st - July 31st - $30.
• Race Day Registration: $35.
• Team Pricing: $25 per Runner.

Race Details

• Course: Race starts and ends at Chesterton Athletic Field, located at the corner of N Park Blvd, Shelburne Rd, and Chesterton Rd in Shaker Heights, OH.
• T-Shirt: Pre-registered participants will receive a short-sleeved race t-shirt: limited quantities available for day-of registrants.
• Timing: All 5K runners (or walkers) will receive a race bib with a chip to track their times.
• Prizes: The top 5 finishers will receive prizes.

Teams

• Group Registration: Gather friends and family to run together as a team.
• Benefits: Receive a discounted registration rate.
• Costume Contest: Participate in a team costume contest: the best outfit wins a prize!

Awards

• Top Finishers: Awards will be given to the Top 5 Overall Runners.

The Cause

• Investment Project: Proceeds will go towards Calvert Impact's Cut Carbon Note, focusing on sustainability in commercial buildings.
• Contribution: Help support the cause by registering for the Cut Carbon Run.
• Additional Donations: Donations, starting at $15, are greatly appreciated and can make a significant impact!

Parking

• Available Parking: Street parking is available on Sherbrook Rd, Courtland Blvd, the opposite side of N Park Blvd, and Shelburne Rd.
