Colors 4 Cancer 5K/1M/Virtual

🎗️ Event Overview

The 2025 Craig Brake Memorial Colors 4 Cancer 5K and 1 mile run/walk is a live or virtual color run which benefits the Journey of Hope Cancer Support Fund in New Bern, NC.

• Purpose: Benefits the Journey of Hope Cancer Support Fund.
• Support: Helps patients and families cope with the effects of cancer.
• Programs: Offers peer support groups, survivorship programs, and more.
• Organization: Part of the CarolinaEast Foundation, a local non-profit.

🏃 Race Details

This is a powdered COLOR 5K/1 mile fun run/walk to celebrate various cancer color campaigns.

• Date: LIVE event on November 1, 2025.
• Virtual Participation: October 25 - November 1, from anywhere at any time.
• Team Registration: Encouraged to honor those touched by cancer.
• Awards: Team spirit award at the LIVE event based on crowd praise.

🏅 Awards and Medals

Medals will be given out for the LIVE event only, as terrain and courses will vary too greatly for the virtual event.

• 5K age divisions: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above.
• Stroller Policy: Do not register children in strollers for the timed 5K event.
• Questions: Contact the Race Director for any inquiries.

💲 Registration Fees

• 5K Color Run: $35 per participant, $25 for students (ages 6-17).
• 1 Mile Walk: $25 per participant.
• Virtual 10K Color Run: $40 per participant, $25 for students (ages 6-17).
• T-shirts: Not guaranteed for registrations after October 3rd.

📦 Packet Pick Up Information

Pickup will be at the CarolinaEast Foundation office and more information will follow.

• Virtual Runners: May pick up packets on Nov 1 or opt for shipment for a $5 fee.
