The annual 5k is a lively and scenic race held each fall in historic downtown New Bern. Organized by New Bern Parks and Recreation, this event partners with Swiss Bear Inc. and is part of the larger Mumfest weekend - a beloved festival that draws tens of thousands of visitors with its music, food arts and family friendly activities. This year boasts a new and exciting route that will be a partially closed course and allow you to actually run through the closed streets of the Mumfest festival footprint.

• Deadline: Register by September 20th to guarantee a race shirt!

Awards

• 5K Awards: Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers
• Age Categories: Top 3 Male and Female finishers in each of the following age categories: 10 and under: 11-14: 15-19: 20-29: 30-39: 40-49: 50-59: 60-69, 70+
