Downingtown Good Neighbor Day - Firetrucks and Fireworks 2025

🚒 Event Overview

Downingtown Good Neighbor Day benefits the Fire and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. Good Neighbor Day is a day long event that starts with the Run for Life 5K, 10K, 15K or 5K Freedom Walk. Approximately 1,500 athletes participate each year. Throughout the day you can enjoy fabulous food, visit 80-100 craft exhibitors or simply enjoy one of the many activities scheduled for the day. The day is capped off with a Fireworks Grand Finale that starts at dusk.

Proceeds benefit the following emergency providers:

• Alert Fire Company: Support local emergency services.
• Minquas Fire and EMS: Contributions aid community safety.
• Uwchlan Ambulance: Funding for essential medical services.
• East Brandywine Fire Company: Enhancing fire safety in the area.

🏃‍♂️ Run for Life 5K, 10K, 15K

• Prize Money: $50 to top male and female.
• T-shirts: For first 1000 registered runners.
• Medals: For 1st three male and female finishers in each category.
• Packet Pick-up: At Kerr Park on July 3rd from Noon till 7 PM and July 4th from 6:00 AM till 7:50 AM.

👶 Age Groups

• Categories: 7 & Under, 8-10, 11-13, 14-17, 18-24.
• More Groups: 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49.
• Extended Ages: 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74.
• Final Group: 75-79, 80+.

🚶‍♂️ 5K Freedom Walk

• T-shirts: For first 150 registered walkers.
• Timed Walk: THE 5K FREEDOM WALK WILL NOT BE TIMED THIS YEAR!!!! This is a fun walk.
• Start Time: Walk starts at 8:00 AM.

👦 Kids K Fun Run

• Registration: Kids K Fun Run registration is on race day only.
• Medals: Awarded to all finishers.
• T-shirts: For first 200 entries.
• Start Time: Race starts at 10:00 AM.
