Event Overview

• Join Us: For the 6th Annual running of the “City of Rockmart - Running for a Paws 5K”! Held Saturday morning, October 10, 2026, in lovely Downtown Rockmart, GA!
• Route: The 5K race incorporates both parts of Downtown Rockmart as well as the super-fast Silver Comet Trail.
• Proceeds: Benefits the City of Rockmart Police Department K9 Fund.
• Encouragement: So come Join us and RUN FOR A PAWS!!!!

Registration

• Pre-Race Fee: $30 (Registration Closes 11:00 PM, Sunday evening, October 4th.)
• Note: Register by this date to guarantee your T-shirt size and lock in at the reduced rate!
• Race Day Fee: $40.

Start-Finish & Race Day Parking

• Starting Line: Located at the intersection of Slate St. and Cherry St. in Downtown, facing the old City Hall.
• Finish Line: Located along the Silver Comet Trail adjacent to Euharlee Creek next to Veterans Plaza.
• Parking: First come, first serve basis. Additional parking available across Euharlee Creek.
• Signage: Will direct runners to the parking lots on Race day Morning.

Race Route

• Utilization: Portions of the immediate surface streets in downtown, entering the “Silver Comet Trail path” at the Water Street Location.
• Course Type: An “out-and-back” course along the super-fast Silver Comet Trail.
• Turnaround Point: Located just past the Vinson Mountain Trailhead.

Race Day Schedule of Events

• 6:45 AM: Race Day Registration Opens.
• 7:30 AM: Race Day Registration Closes.
• 8:00 AM: 5K Start Time.
• 9:15 AM: 5K Awards Presentation at the Finish Line.

Pre-Registration Packet Pickup

• Date: Friday, October 9th.
• Time: From 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
• Location: Rockmart Police Department Headquarters, 316 N. Piedmont Ave. Bldg. 200, Rockmart, GA.

Awards

• Overall Winners: Top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female.
• Masters Winners: Top Masters Male and Top Masters Female.
• Age Categories: Awards for top Male & Female in various age groups.
