THE FAIRFIELD POLICE SUNSET 5K - Presented by MONECO Advisors

🌅 Welcome to the Fairfield Police Sunset 5K

Thank you all for your support of our past events and charity causes. We are preparing for another record-breaking crowd for 2025!

🤝 Presented by MONECO Advisors

• Proceeds: All proceeds will be donated to the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund & The Fairfield Police Foundation.
• Course: You can run (3.1 miles) or walk (.8 mile) course.

🌞 Get Ready for a Summer Spectacular

• Participants: This year we will be raising the bar and will accept over 1000 runners & walkers.
• Accessibility: We invite all abilities to run our 3.1 mile scenic & flat course or walk our .8 mile course.
• Event Features: Starting and ending at Jennings Beach, this event will include t-shirts, food truck rodeo, treats for the kiddos, fluids, and adult libations for those of age.

⚠️ Important Race Day Info

• Registration: THERE WILL NOT BE ANY RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS IF WE SELL OUT (and we do expect to sell out!).
• Timing: The 5K distance is a computer chip timed event. You may run or walk in this event but must complete the entire distance or be disqualified.
• Walk Details: The .8 mile walk IS NOT timed, and there are no awards for this event.
• Amenities: All 5K and 8/10 mile participants receive the same shirts and amenities.

💲 Registration Fees

• $35: ALL AGES in the 5K for the first 200 registered.
• $40: ALL AGES in the 5K - registrants from 201 - 600.
• $45: ALL AGES in the 5K - registrants from 601 - 1000 and on race day IF NOT SOLD OUT.
• $35: flat fee, ALL AGES in the 8/10 mile untimed walk.

🍽️ Food Tickets

• $15 Food Ticket: For NONREGISTERED only. Spectators, friends, & family need to pay for this ticket to access any food and fluids.
• Included: Pre-Registered (PAID) participants in the 5K & one-mile walk DO NOT NEED TO BUY A FOOD TICKET - it’s included in your fee!

📆 Important Dates to Remember

• March 8: Registration opens.
• June 13: Shirt size guarantee ends.
• July 14: Early bib/shirt pickup at Marathon Sports, Post Rd in Fairfield.
• July 16: 4:45pm - 6:15pm bib/shirt pickup located at the Registration Tent at Jennings Beach.

🏅 Awards and Recognition

• 5K Awards: First place trophies and $25 MARATHON SPORTS Gift Cards to the 5K overall male & female champions.
• Age Group Awards: Gift card awards ($15/$10/$5) to top 3 in various age groups.
• Pickup: Anyone missing awards can pick up at Marathon Sports in Fairfield from July 19 onwards.

🎖️ Post-Event Details

• Food & Fluids: Paid participants in the events are welcome to enjoy post-event food and fluids included in their registration fee.
• Donations: We encourage everyone to donate any additional amount to our charity partners.
• Course Safety: We will be using a chip-timed, open start format. Your chip time starts when you cross the start line.

📍 Location & Parking

• Venue: The event will take place at 880 South Benson Rd., Fairfield, CT.
• Parking: There will be ample parking in the Jennings Beach lot, which does not require a beach sticker for non-residents.
• Neighborhood Respect: Please thank the local neighbors for their support and patience.
