📍 THE COURSE
- Location: 100% on the Rail Trail with no cars and no street crossings.
- Terrain: Flat and picturesque out-n-back running through Fall's natural beauty.
- Venue: New Haven / Northampton Railroad Canal Line Main Parking Lot
- Parking: Plenty of parking in all Rail Trail lots plus on-street.
Poland Spring Water & Gatorade Endurance at Mile 2.5 and 3.5.

- Shirts: Men's & Women's Cut Short Sleeve Tech T-shirts for all entrants.
- Medals: Gorgeous 3” Custom Finisher Medals! BEST 10K MEDAL!

Custom awards to the top 3 Men and Women overall and in all 5 year divisions (from 5 years old to 80+).

⏱️ TIMING AND RESULTS
- Timing: Transponder Timing and Results with “Gun” and “Net” time.
- Awards: Based on gun time.
- Live Results: Results will be live streaming.
- Notifications: Emailed and texted to you once you finish.
⚠️ CUTOFFS AND EARLY STARTS
- Cutoffs: There are no time cutoffs.
- Early Starts: No early starts for this race.
📜 THE HISTORY
- 2017: Our inaugural Rail Trail 10K Race debuted with a large field of runners.
- 2020: The race was cancelled due to Covid19.
- 2021: We are back!
- 2023: We are the 10K State Championship for the Road Runners of America!
2024: We are once again the RRCA State Championship 10K and now we start at 7am.
2025: Due to popular demand, we will keep this race going! We are the RRCA State Championship for the 3rd year in a row! You need to be here!
💲 PRICING STRUCTURE
- Early Registration: 11/16/2024 - 12/31/2024: $55.
- Standard Registration: 1/1/2025 – 10/2/2025: $60.
- Race Day Registration: 10/4/2025: $65 In-Person Registration (Cash, Venmo, Checks only. No Cards on race day).
🔄 TRANSFER & DEFERRAL INFO
- Transfer: You may TRANSFER your registration to another athlete until 9/4/2025 for $25.
- Deferral: You may DEFER your entry to the 2026 Race until 9/4/2025 for $25.
- Payment: Paid through our Venmo (ShorelineSharks) and email Defer@ShorelineSharks.com.
- Deadline: THIS IS A HARD DEADLINE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Active.com offers an insurance plan for a fee but we are not involved with that.
