Calla's 5k Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk for TID

🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

• What: 5k Run or 1 Mile Fun Walk
• When: Saturday, October 25, 2025.
• Where: Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, Olive St. Trailhead
• Day of Registration and Packet Pick Up: Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 7:45 to 8:45 AM

💖 Purpose of the Event

• Foundation: Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF, is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research.
• Impact: Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that occurs when a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin.
• Goal: The aim is to progressively remove the impact of T1D from people’s lives until a world without it is achieved.
• Support: This event is held in honor of Calla, to show support to her and the millions living with T1D.

🏅 Awards and T-Shirts

• Awards: The overall male and female will receive awards, as well as the top three males and females in various age groups.
• Age Groups: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
• T-Shirts: Register by 10/1 to receive a race t-shirt.
• Donations: Donors over $250 received by 10/1 will be recognized on the race shirts.

🎟️ Raffle and Donations

• Raffle: Come early to purchase raffle tickets: winners will be announced along with the top finishers of the race.
• Proceeds: All proceeds will go to Breakthrough T1D.
• Awareness: Check out additional Type One Diabetes awareness items available at Calla's 5k Run/Walk for T1D - Black Heart Printings.
• Community: Join us to show that Calla is not alone in this journey.
