ShawneeCraft Brewing Co. Presents the Hair of the Bear 15K & 5K! A fun and memorable tradition continues as we celebrate our 7th annual "Good Day for a Run" race located in the beautiful and tranquil Pocono Mountains...Begins and ends at Shawnee Inn and ShawneeCraft Brewing Company's amazing property.

The Run

• 2 Courses:
  • 5K Course: is on property and neighboring roads of Shawnee Inn - Finish at ShawneeCraft Brewery.
  • 15K Course: Starts/Finishes at the Brewery, and includes about 5 miles on the beautiful and well maintained McDade Trail system along the Delaware River.
• Terrain: 15K Race includes approximately 4 miles of paved roads. 5K race is 90% paved.
• Timing: Professionally Chip-timed Races start at 9 AM. Perfect for all ages, beginners, and seasoned runners!
• Support: Water Stations and Course Marshals at important course locations.

The Post Race Fun

• Brunch Buffet: Race finishers enjoy a Brunch Buffet provided by Shawnee Inn - INCLUDED!
• Complimentary Beer: 1 Complimentary ShawneeCraft Beer (Over 21 proof required) (Soda available at finish for age < 21).
• Live Music: In the Brewery that begins at 9:45 AM and continues after awards until noon.
• Awards: Award Medals for Top 3 Overall and Age Group Male & Female Winners (14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, and every 10 yrs).

• Custom Shirt: High quality Custom-designed Shirt - adult/men, women's and youth options. Many extra shirts are ordered, however to guarantee your first choice, please register by March 15.
• Finisher Medals: Custom Finisher Medals included for 15K and 5K Finishers.

• Photo Access: Free Downloadable Race and After-Party Photos. Professional photographer on staff.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet Pick-Up on Race Day @ 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM at ShawneeCraft brewery. Second PPU date TBD.

• Spectators: Welcome. Food and beer available for purchase after race for spectators.
• Weather Policy: Race is Rain or Shine. No refunds or deferrals.
