Pleasanton Rotary Halloween Spirit Run

Event Overview

• Date: October 25, 2026
• Location: Downtown Pleasanton, 652 Main Street, Pleasanton, CA
• Costumes: Wear a costume if you would like!
• Race Start: 5K/10K starts at 8:30 a.m.: Kids Challenge starts at 10:00 a.m.

Race Details

• Timed Events: 5K and 10K events are timed: awards for overall winners and top finishers.
• Kids Challenge: 1/4 mile for older kids, plus a 100 yard dash: open to kids ages 12 and under.
• Finisher Medals: All participants in 5K, 10K, and Kid's Race will receive a medal.
• T-Shirts: DryBlend long sleeved t-shirts available for 5K-10K participants: opt-out option available.

Proceeds

• Purpose: Proceeds support scholarships for Pleasanton students.
• Projects: Supports community & international projects of The Rotary Club of Pleasanton.
• Community Impact: Investing in local education and development.

Dog Policy

• Leashed Dogs: Well-behaved dogs permitted in the 5K or 10K.
• Starting Position: Dogs must start at the back of the pack.
• Requirements: Non-retractable leash and cleanup after your dog.
• Comfort: Dogs should be comfortable in crowds and around other dogs.

Strollers

• Allowed: Strollers are welcome in both the 5K and 10K.
• Starting Position: Please start towards the back of the race.

Packet Pick Up

• Date: Pre-race Packet Pick Up on October 24, 2026.
• Location: Fleet Feet Pleasanton, 234 Main Street from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
• Race Day Pickup: Available from 7 am to 8:15 am on race morning.
• ID Policy: Photo ID not required: bring your QR code from confirmation email.

In-Person Registration

• Registration Dates: Available at Packet Pick Up or on race morning (7:00 am - 8:20 am).
• Location: Start/finish area adjacent to Workbench Hardware - 652 Main Street.
• Payment Methods: Debit/credit card or cash only: personal checks not accepted.

Awards & Age Groups

• Medals: Custom medals for top three male and female finishers in 5K and 10K.
• Overall Prizes: Overall winners will also receive a prize.
• Age Groups: Various age groups for 10K and 5K as detailed in the race description.
