The Rhode Island Half Marathon and 5K is BACK and set for Sunday, May 18th, 2025.

🏞️ RACE OPTIONS

• Distance Choices: Choose from either the half marathon or 5K.
• Scenic Views: Experience stunning views of Narragansett Bay and the iconic Providence skyline.
• Course Certification: Both courses are USATF-certified.
• Start/Finish Location: Conveniently located at Pierce Memorial Stadium, East Providence, RI.

👥 LIMITED PARTICIPANTS

The Rhode Island Half Marathon will be capped at 2,000 participants. Once the field is sold out, a waitlist will be opened in the event more slots become available. Register today to reserve your spot on the start line with us!

🛣️ COURSE DETAILS

COURSE UPDATES FOR 2025:

• Final Hill: The Half Marathon course will no longer include the final hill of the 2024 course at Mile 12.
• Start Times: Half Marathon & 5K races will start together at 7:30am at Pierce Field.
• 5K Route: The 5K will follow Veteran’s Memorial Parkway before joining the bike path at Kettle Point Ave.
• Facilities: Additional porta-potties at Pierce Field and on-course.

🥇 PERKS FOR PARTICIPANTS

• Breakfast Sandwich: FREE breakfast sandwich for all participants in the 5K and Half Marathon.
• Empire Beer: One FREE Chair 2 beer for all participants age 21 and over.
• Finisher Medallions: Awards for all participants of the Half Marathon & 5K.
• Chip Timed: All participants will be chip-timed with a 3.5-hour time limit for the Half Marathon.

🏃‍♂️ PACE GROUPS

• Experienced Pacers: Pacers from Marathon Sports will lead six groups in the RI Half Marathon.
• PACE TIMES: Groups for finishing times of 1:45, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00.
• How to Join: No sign-up required: just meet your Pace Lead on race morning.
• Finding Pacers: Head to the start line at least 15 minutes prior to race start to connect with your group.

💳 ONLINE ENTRY FEES

Online registration closes on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at 7pm.

• Rhode Island Half Marathon: Various pricing ranges from $70 to $100 depending on registration date.
• Rhode Island 5K Run/Walk: Fees range from $32 to $45 based on registration date.
• Important Note: No refunds: pets are not allowed. Stroller participants are asked to start at the back for safety.

📋 PACKET PICKUP INFORMATION

• Pre-Race Pickup: May 10th, 16th, and 17th at Marathon Sports, Providence Place.
• Race Day Pickup: Begins at 6:15am on May 18th at Pierce Memorial Stadium.
• Parking: Available at stadium lots and nearby. Please avoid parking in restricted areas.
• Stress-Free: We encourage picking up race numbers before race day.

🏆 PRIZE STRUCTURE

• Individual Awards: Top 3 Overall and age group winners (Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
• Team Awards: Top Family and Friends Team (unlimited entries with top 3 scoring).
• Team Entry Fees: Same as individual fees: based on chip times.
