🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

4 X 2 MILE CROSS COUNTRY RELAY

“GET OFF THE ROAD”

Hosted by Trail Racing Over Texas and Hardloop Endurance. The Road Kill XC is the 2025 HARRA Fall Series cross-country team event for all ages, clubs, and teams (not just HARRA clubs).

📅 Event Info

• Date: September 13, 2025
• Registration: Opens once final decisions have been made.
• Location: Bear Creek Park, possibly moving location within the park.
• Start Time: All teams will start at 8 AM.

📍 Location and Course

• Coordinates: Bear Creek Park - Baseball Field 7 Parking (SE corner).
• Setup: Begins at 7 AM, team captains can pick up packets.
• Course Details: Main course is marked with chalk paint, pin flags, and marking tape.
• Course Distance: Exactly 3,222 meters (1% / 3m over 2mi).

👥 Team Categories / Divisions

We will have several divisions, ensure all team members meet the requirements.

• Coed: Minimum of two females and one male.
• Open / General: Age 10+.
• Youth: Boys and Girls ages 10-17.
• Master’s: All members 40+ or 50+ depending on the category.

📖 Relay Rules

The Road Kill XC event follows all USATF Rules & Regulations.

• Team Structure: Must consist of four runners for HARRA competition.
• Relay Baton: Must be carried throughout the race.
• Disqualification: Non-compliance with rules may result in disqualification.
• Awards Eligibility: All members must be verified by race officials.

🗓️ Schedule

• 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM: Packet Pickup at Bear Creek Park.
• 8:00 AM: Race Start.
• 9:45 AM: Free Kids Race.
• 10:00 AM: Course & Finish Line Closed, Awards Ceremony.

🚰 Aid Station and Support

The start/finish/registration area will provide water, Gatorade, and post-race snacks. Please bring your own hydration device.

🏕️ Team Tent Setup

Teams are encouraged to set up their own tent for support, setup begins at 7 AM and teardown must start at 10 AM.

🚗 Venue Info: Parking & Washrooms

Speed limits will be strictly enforced. Park in designated parking areas only.

Location

The event is located at Bear Creek Pioneers Park (3560 War Memorial St, Houston, TX 77084).

Restrooms

Restroom facilities will be available both permanent and porta-potties.

📦 Packet Pickup & Race Day Info

Packet Pickup starts at 7 AM. The race will aim to start at 8 AM with a pre-race briefing.

🏅 Medals & Awards

All runners will receive an XC ribbon and wood-engraved medals will be awarded to the winning team members in their category.

🗺️ Map & Course

The race venue is Bear Creek Pioneers Park, with the course marked clearly. No water will be available on the course.

🔄 Relay Exchange Area

Only one member per team is allowed in the exchange area at a time. Runners must exit under a designated exit chute.

🙋‍♂️ Volunteer
