Join us for the Truthahntrab 5K and support the Knoch cross country and track teams while experiencing the charm of Saxonburg! Mark your calendars for 9am November 29th, the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

All proceeds will directly support the Knoch cross country and track and field programs. Your strides will not only carry you towards the finish line but will also pave the way for promising athletes to pursue their passions.

🇩🇪 Embrace Our Heritage

":Truthahntrab,": meaning ":Turkey Trot": in German, captures the essence of our Germanic roots dating back to 1832 when the town was settled by German immigrants.

🏆 Race Awards and Fun

You’ll have the chance to earn unique turkey-themed race awards and refuel with post-race snacks including:

• Bavarian soft pretzels
• Hot chocolate
• Coffee
• Compete in the 5K or the 1K Fun Run

We are adding additional awards for our popular team division which is a perfect opportunity to run/walk with family, friends, and co-workers while enjoying the picturesque countryside.

📏 The Course

The 5K is an out-and-back course and will follow the traditional route. The race will start at Roebling Park and take a lap around town before heading out to the former Saxony Farms' rolling pastures and lake before returning and finishing at the park. The course is almost entirely paved with the exception of a short gravel area near the turnaround/lake.

🏅 1K Fun Run

The 1K will start shortly after the 5K start and complete one lap around town before finishing at the park. All 1K finishers receive a turkey trot ribbon!

🛍️ Post-Race Celebration

After the race, be sure to visit charming Main Street as we prepare to kickoff Small Business Saturday.

AWARDS

• Trophies: for top 3 overall male and female
• Medals: for top 3 in each age group
• Age groups: 0-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70&up
• Team awards: Top 3 teams will receive awards (Teams score based on total time of top 3 runners: no gender requirements)

🕒 Registration Details

>:>: Online registration closes at noon on Friday 11/28.

>:>: You may register in-person at packet pickup Friday evening OR the morning of the race starting at 7:30am. We will only accept EXACT cash, check or Venmo for in-person registrations. (No credit cards for in-person)

>:>: Packet pickup will be Friday 11/28 5pm-630pm at Speckled Hen Chocolate Company, 656 Saxonburg Blvd, Saxonburg, PA 16056.

>:>: Discounted registration ($20) for ages 15 and under

>:>: Register by Sunday, November 15th to guarantee a t-shirt.
