🏃♂️ Event Overview
The Run for Prevention is a chipped and timed 5K Family Run and Walk that is suitable for all ages and abilities. This event features a route along the beautiful Caloosahatchee River at Cape Coral's Jaycee Park. Bring your family and friends, form a team, and support an extraordinary non-profit. Our course is stroller and pet friendly.

- Largest Team: The largest team will win the JOSH TROPHY and bragging rights for the year!
🕗 Race Details
- Start Time: The Run begins at 8:00 a.m.
- Packet Pickup: January 24, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Collaboratory, 2031 Jackson Street, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
- Day of Event Pickup: Packets can also be picked up day of event after 7:00 a.m.
- T-Shirts: T Shirts for the first 300 registrants. Team members receive a $5.00 discount. T shirts sizes are not guaranteed.
🌦️ Event Conditions
This event will be held "rain or shine" with no refunds.
⏱️ Timing Services
Chipping and Timing Services provided by BEACH BUM TIMING.
🏅 Awards Ceremony
Awards will follow the end of the Run.
- Overall Awards: First Place Male and Female.
- Age Group Awards: Awards to male and female, 3 deep, in the following age groups: 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71 and Up.

All proceeds from Run for Prevention support Drug House Odyssey, our Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) Prevention Clubs and drug and alcohol abuse prevention in Lee County. Drug Free Lee is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
