Event Overview
- Two Options: Enjoy the 2025 Cherokee 5K Turkey Strut run/walk either On-Site or with the DIY 5K.
- On-Site Event: Scheduled for November 22 at Kituwah Mound.
- DIY 5K: Run or walk from November 15-23, anywhere you choose.
- Family Fun: Perfect for seasoned runners and novices alike.
In-Person Details
- Host: The event is hosted by Cherokee Choices.
- Location: Beautiful course starting and finishing at Kituwah Mound.
- Awards: Age group awards for categories including 8 & Under, 9-12, and 13-16.
- Cause: 100% of proceeds benefit Sunrise Community for Recovery and Wellness.
Race Information
- Race Start: 12:00 Noon, with registration from 11:00 to 11:45 AM.
- Awards: Top 3 Overall Male and Female Winners.
- Scoring: Top 3 Male & Female in multiple age categories.
- Entry Fees: $5 for Kids 12 & Under and Elders 60+, $15 for Adults ($20 after November 2). Donate $50 or more for a free entry.
DIY 5K Option
- Virtual Participation: Run or walk at your convenience, anywhere you prefer.
- Time Submission: Optional submission of your time for online results from November 16-24.
- Switching Options: Participants registered for the On-Site 5K can switch to DIY at any time.
- Invite Friends: The DIY 5K welcomes friends and family from anywhere to join the event.
