GDTC Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

52nd ANNUAL TURKEY TROT 5K ROAD RACE

Thanksgiving Day - November 27, 2025 - 9:00 AM

Location: Galliens Town Beach on Beaver Lake

Registration Information

• Cutoff Date: Registration cut off to receive a race shirt is November 1, 2025 (11/1/2025). No exceptions.
• Food Donations: For ALL ENTRIES we request a donation of any non-perishable canned good or dry food item. All food donations go to food pantries in the Greater Derry area to help the needy.
• Registration Fees: Adults (13 & older) - Pre-Registration: $25, Day of Registration: $30: Kids (12 & under) - Pre-Registration: $10, Day of Registration: $15.

Packet Pickup

• Date: Packet pickup will be on Sunday 11/23 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Derry Sports and Rehab, 23A Crystal Ave, Derry.
• Date: Wednesday 11/26 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Galliens Beach.
• Note: There will be no race day registration or packet pick up.
• Recommendation: It is highly recommended to come to Derry Sports & Rehab or Gallien's Beach for packet pickup.

Shirt and Post Race Amenities

• High Quality Shirt: Long sleeve shirt with 4 color logo design to anyone who registers by November 1st.
• Post Race Beverages: Hydrate after the race with plenty of post race beverages along with Gatorade and water.
• Walkers: Walkers are welcomed to join us.

Awards

• Awards: Top 3 Male and Female as well as the Top Male and Female from Derry.
• Post Race Food: There will be some post race food and beverages.

Parking Information

• Location: Parking will be available at the Pinkerton Academy.
• Transportation: Continuous bus transportation from the Pinkerton Academy parking lot to the race site from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
• No Parking: Parking will not be allowed on Route 102.

The Course

Details: Certified 5k (3.1 miles) course USATF #NH9306WN. The scenic course takes you clockwise around the residential roads of Beaver Lake, featuring several scenic vistas.

Directions for Packet Pickup

Route: From Route 93, take Exit 4. Follow Route 102 East and proceed through Derry center to rotary. At the rotary, follow Route 102 off rotary east approximately 1 mile to Galliens Beach on right at 39 Pond Rd, on Nov 26th, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM.

Directions for Parking on Race Day

Route: From Route 93, take Exit 4. Follow Route 102 East and proceed through Derry center to rotary. Take your 4th exit at the rotary and continue to Pinkerton Academy Parking lot about 1/4 mile up Route 28 Bypass (North Main Street).

Cancellation Policy

If weather looks threatening check this website to see if the event has been cancelled. If cancelled, no refunds and pick up of T-shirts at a later date is responsibility of race entrant.
