GDTC Thanksgiving Turkey Trot

53rd ANNUAL TURKEY TROT 5K ROAD RACE

Thanksgiving Day - November 26, 2026 - 9:00 AM

Location: Galliens Town Beach on Beaver Lake

Registration Information

• Registration Deadline: Registration cut-off to receive a race shirt is November 1, 2026 (11/1/2026). No exceptions.
• Food Donations: For ALL ENTRIES we request a donation of any non-perishable canned good or dry food item. All food donations go to food pantries in the Greater Derry area to help the needy. If you forget your donation we ask for a small cash donation which will go to the food pantry.
• Registration Fees:
  • Adults (14 & older) - Pre-Registration: $30, Day of Registration: $35
  • Kids (13 & under) - Pre-Registration: $10, Day of Registration: $15

Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Sunday 11/22 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Derry Sports and Rehab, and Wednesday 11/25 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Galliens Beach.
• Race Day: There will be race day registration & packet pick up.
• Recommendation: It is highly recommended to come to Derry Sports & Rehab Sunday, 11/22, or Gallien's Beach Wednesday, 11/25, for packet pickup.

Shirt And Post Race Amenities

• Shirt: High quality long sleeve, with 4 color logo design to anyone who registers by November 1st.
• Hydration: Hydrate after the race with plenty of post race beverages along with water.
• Walkers: Walkers are welcomed to join us.

Awards

• Top Finishers: Awards to the top 3 Male and Female participants.

Post Race Details

Post Race Food: There will be some post race food and beverages - we will be encouraging runners/walkers to head for the shuttles.

Parking Information

• Location: Parking will be available at the Pinkerton Academy.
• Shuttle Service: Continuous bus transportation from the Pinkerton Academy parking lot to the race site from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
• No Parking: Parking will not be allowed on Route 102.

The Course

The certified 5k (3.1 miles) course, USATF #NH9306WN, takes you clockwise around the residential roads of Beaver Lake, showcasing scenic vistas. Check out the video of the course filmed by ViewTheRace.com.

Directions

• For Packet Pickup: From Route 93, take Exit 4. Follow Route 102 East and proceed through Derry center to rotary. Follow Route 102 off rotary east approximately 1 mile to Galliens Beach and Beaver Lake on right at 39 Pond Rd, on Nov 26th, 4:00 PM-8:00 PM.
• Parking Directions: There will be packet pick up at Derry Sports and Rehab, 23A Crystal Ave on Nov 23rd, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

Cancellation Policy

If weather looks threatening, check the website to see if the event has been cancelled. If cancelled, no refunds and pick up of T-shirts at a later date is the responsibility of the race entrant.
