Join us for a TIMED 5K to support the Imagine North Port Cross Country Sharks.
Event Details

- Start Time: 8:00 AM at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park
- Registration: Must register by Sep 26th to guarantee a Poker Run shirt
Pricing Information
- Price Increase: Prices go up after Sept 26th
- Age Restriction: Participants must be 21+ to play poker
- Open to All: Everyone is welcome to run :)
Race Format
This is a Texas Holdem' Style 5K event.
- Packet Pickup: Early Packet Pickup is October 2nd from 3:00pm-6:00pm at Il Primos.
- Race Day Pickup: Begins at 7:00am on the morning of the race at the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park.
- Playing Cards: Participants will gather two playing cards from the table mid-race to complete their hand.
Awards
The Highest poker hand will receive a $100 gift card PLUS a Medal
The Worst poker hand will receive a $75 gift card PLUS a Medal
- Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie for the poker hand, the fastest runner wins.
- Age Group Awards: Top Three Male/Female Finishers in various age groups.
- Top Finisher Awards: Top Male/Female Finisher in Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans categories.
Event Amenities
- Water Stations: Water will be provided for runners at the table mid-run.
- Food & Drinks: Los Dos Christianos will be providing Breakfast and Coffee, along with Hot Dogs, Chips, and Snack Bars.
Course Information
Start by running out of the park then turn around at the water stop/poker table receiving TWO CARDS then back to finish 3.1 miles. Course Map
Parking and Directions
- Parking: Available within the park, please refrain from parking on the residential side of Reisterstown Road/Estates Drive.
- Directions: Take Exit 182 from I-75 and head East. Follow Sumter Blvd. to Tropicaire Blvd. Turn left on Tropicaire Blvd. and right on Reisterstown Road. The park is at the curve of Reisterstown Road on the right.
