Poker Run 5K

Join us for a TIMED 5K to support the Imagine North Port Cross Country Sharks.

📋 Registration Details

• Deadline: Must register by Sep 26th to guarantee a Poker Run shirt
• Age Requirement: Participants must be 21+ to play poker. EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO RUN :)
• Type: This is a Texas Holdem' Style 5K event.
• Packet Pickup: Early Packet Pickup on October 4th from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM at Pink Tequila

🃏 Gameplay Description

• Card Collection: Participants playing poker will gather two playing cards from the table mid-race to complete their hand.
• Check-In: Upon returning, runners will place their cards on the Check-In table. The cards will be stapled together with the runner’s name written on them.
• No Experience Needed: Participants do NOT need to know how to play poker to participate.
• Prizes: The Highest poker hand will receive a $100 gift card: the Worst poker hand will receive a $75 gift card.

🏅 Awards Announcement

In-person awards will be presented to the 5K runners immediately following the race as follows:

• Categories: Top Male/Female Finisher in Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, Senior Grand Master, Veterans.
• Age Group Awards: Top Three Male/Female Finishers in age groups from <12 to 85+
• Medals: Highest poker hand & the Worst poker hand will receive a medal.

💧 Refreshments

• Water: Water will be provided for runners at the table mid-run.
• Food: Hot dogs at the finish line, with additional snacks and drinks available.

• Proceeds: ALL PROCEEDS AFTER EXPENSES WILL GO TO THE IMAGINE XC TEAM BOOSTERS ACCOUNT.

🗺️ Course Information

• Start: Run out of the park, then turn around at the water stop/poker table receiving TWO CARDS.
• Finish: Complete 3.1 miles. View Course Map.
• Cards: Don’t forget to pick TWO cards from the table set out from the Volunteers at the water stop.
• Check-In Cards: Runners returning will place their cards on the Check-In Table: CARDS WILL THEN BE STAPLED TOGETHER AND YOUR NAME WRITTEN ON THEM.

🚗 Parking and Directions

• Parking: Available within the park by following the dirt towards the big pavilion. Please refrain from parking on the residential side of Reisterstown Road/Estates Drive.
• Directions: Take Exit 182 from I-75 and head East. Follow Sumter Blvd. to Tropicaire Blvd. Turn left on Tropicaire Blvd. and turn right on Reisterstown Road. The park is at the curve of Reisterstown Road on the right.
