Poker Run 5K

Join us for a TIMED 5K to support the Imagine North Port Cross Country Sharks.

🕗 Event Details

• Date: October 5, 2025
• Time: 8:00 AM
• Location: Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, 6968 Reisterstown Rd, North Port, FL 34291
• Registration Deadline: Must register by Sep 26th to guarantee a Poker Run shirt

♠️ Game Format

This is a Texas Holdem' Style 5K event. Participants playing poker will gather two playing cards from the table mid-race to complete their hand. Upon returning, runners will place their cards on the Check-In table. The cards will be stapled together with the runner’s name written on them.

🎉 Awards

• Highest Poker Hand: $100 gift card
• Worst Poker Hand: $75 gift card
• Tie Breaker: In the event of a poker hand tie, the fastest runner wins the hand
• Awards Ceremony: In person awards to be presented immediately following the race

🌊 Hydration

Water will be provided for runners at the table mid-run.

🗺️ Course Information

Start by running out of the park, then turn around at the water stop/poker table receiving TWO CARDS then back to finish 3.1 miles. CLICK THIS LINK for the Course Map.

🚗 Parking Information

• Location: Parking is available within the park by following the dirt towards the big pavilion and beyond.
• Restrictions: Please refrain from parking on the residential side of Reisterstown Road/Estates Drive.

📍 Directions

• Route: Take Exit 182 from I-75 and head East. Follow Sumter Blvd. to Tropicaire Blvd. Turn left on Tropicaire Blvd. and turn right on Reisterstown Road. The park is at the curve of Reisterstown Road on the right.
