Le Moyne College Dolphin Dash 2025

🐬 Race Overview

Dolphins get ready! Le Moyne is excited to host the 12th Annual Dolphin Dash - 5K run/walk and one-mile walk event. Proceeds from the event will support student scholarship at Le Moyne College.

This year's Dolphin Dash will be dedicated to the memory of Mary McNeil, MBA '08, a beloved and dedicated Dolphin, Regent, Dolphin Dash participant, and friend to many in the Le Moyne and Cortland communities.

🗓️ Event Schedule

• Live Event: Saturday, May 31, 9:30 a.m.: Run 5K (3.1 miles) or One-mile Walk
• Virtual Event: Friday, May 30 - Sunday, June 1: Run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) anytime between those dates and anywhere and then submit your time to the leaderboard.

Location

• Live Event: Niland Athletics Complex/Dwyer Center For Health and Wellness at Le Moyne College / 1419 Salt Springs Road / Syracuse, NY 13214. The event will start and end here.
• Virtual: Anywhere

📝 Registration Options

Participants will have a few options. Sign up for the live, in-person, timed 5K event, the One-Mile walk (not timed), or the virtual event.

• Registration: Registration will be online only up through the race time. There will be no paper application and cash or credit card payment accepted on event day.
• Group / Team Registration: Participants can sign up as groups/teams, e.g. Class Teams - Class of 2000.
• Pricing: $25: includes a Dolphin Dash commemorative tee, while supplies last (cut-off date is Friday, May 9).
• Virtual Pricing: $15 for the virtual Dolphin Dash: $10 additional for Dolphin Dash commemorative tee (cut-off date is May 9). The shirt is mailed after the event.

🎖️ Awards

• Prize Categories: Overall Male and Female Finisher: First, second, and third place.
• Class Team Award: First place finisher, Male and Female in each category.
• Non-Timed Awards: Dolphin Spirit Award - Given to the participant(s) with the most school spirit: Longest Mile Award - Given to the participant who traveled the furthest distance: 'Phin Phamily Award - Given to the family with the highest number of family participants.

🌧️ Weather Policy

The Dolphin Dash Run/Walk will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made race day at the race site.

⏱️ Timing

Leone Timing not only provides timing for our 5K, but helps our event in many different ways. As a participant you will see them working on race day, but they also do a lot of behind the scenes work for our race starting from when registration opens. Thank you Leone Timing!
