Event Overview
Join us for our fourth attempt for a truly unique 5k event along the shore in Stratford.
Important Registration Information
- Last Year Highlights: If you waited to register, we were out of shirts and wine two days before.
- Registration Advice: Don’t wait! Otherwise, we cannot promise you anything more than a free beer!
- Weather Policy: We go SHINE OR RAIN! We can’t postpone, as we have one-day permits.
- Beverages: We have already bought 200 bottles of vino!
Registration Capacity
- Event Limit: Strictly limited to one hundred people!
- Accessibility: All abilities are welcome to run, walk, or stroll.
- Pet Policy: Four-legged mammals on a leash are permitted, but you must bring your own poop bags.
Event Location
We are again hosted by the Little Pub, beautifully located in the Lordship section of Stratford.
Event Features
- Swag: This late afternoon run/walk will feature terrific swag for the 21 & over participants.
- Underage Participants: Under 21 can register and enjoy the event but will only receive a non-alcohol beverage.
- Course: 3.11 miles of scenic wonder! 80% direct water views, start/finish and post-run fun overlooking Point no Point opposite the seawall. Course Map
- Inspiration: This idea all started when we saw an advert for the "Trunk or Treat" hosted by the Little Pub.
Event Benefits
So here is what we came up with:
- Shirts: 'A Wine of a Kind' shirt - might be short sleeve, might be long sleeve, depends on stock.
- Wine: TWO half-bottles of wine (one white, one red).
- Beer: ONE post-run glass of a Little Pub beer.
- Snacks: Happy hour-appropriate snacks like pretzel bites, granola bars, bananas.
Registration Fees
- Pricing: $35 for 21 & over, just $25 for 20 & under!
- Fee Increase: Reg fee increases on 10/20 to $40 and $30 for 20 & under.
Event Schedule
- Bib/Swag Pickup: Starts at 4:00 pm - NO SOONER!
- Kids Dash: Free Kids Dash at 4:45 pm for ages 9 & under, costumes encouraged.
- 5K Start Time: HalloWine 5K run, walk, saunter - START at 5:00 pm.
- Post-event: Snacks, fluids, and fun at 5:20 pm.
Post-Race Experience
At least one free beer for everyone 21 & over. This is still a work in progress, and we are adding more by the day!
Results and Awards
- Results: This is a timed event, and we will post results online.
- Awards: We may not have overall or age group awards, but there may be surprises!
Event Support
A HUGE shout out and thanks to the Little Pub Restaurant in Lordship! They have been truly supportive of every running event in the neighborhood.

Note on Attendance
REGISTER EARLY AS THIS IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED HUMANS (cute, well-behaved alternative mammals on leashes are OK).
Event Director
Marty Schaivone, owner of MS Running Productions, is a Lordship resident who directs over 30 running events each year in Fairfield County.
Volunteer Opportunities
Running events need volunteers! Give up one day a year and help someone!
Additional Information
Parking in the LP lot, along the seawall, & on side streets. Please don’t block driveways.
