Event Overview

• Annual Event: Join us for the 18th annual Kiwanis BUG Chase!
• Beneficiary: All proceeds benefit the Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis BUG (Bring Up Grades) program.
• Purpose: Designed to provide recognition to local elementary students who raise their grades.
• Community Support: Funds other local club sponsored youth service projects.

Programs Supported

• Leadership Programs: Aktion Club at LARC, Circle K International at Florida Gulf Coast University, Key Club at FSW Collegiate High, Builders Club, and K-Kids.
• Funding: The club funded multi-sensory rooms at various elementary schools.
• Atlas Distribution: Supplies a world atlas to every fourth or third grade student at participating schools.
• Additional Support: Supports organizations like March of Dimes, The Salvation Army, and Golisano Children's Hospital.

Important Details

• Registration: Race day registrations begins at 7:30 a.m.
• Packet Pickup: Race day packet pick up from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.
• Race Time: Race starts at 8:30 a.m.
• T-Shirts: Short sleeve t-shirt in performance material guaranteed to the first 200 registered.

Awards and Logistics

• Awards: Overall age group awards will be presented.
• Post-Race Items: No shirts or packets will be held after race day for pickup.
• Registration Deadline: Register by 12/5/2025 to guarantee shirt size.
• Participant Cap: Runner registration is capped at 400 participants.

Parking and Timing Information

• Parking: Limited to handicapped individuals and race volunteers: overflow parking is at the Lee Health Facility.
• Timing: The event will be timed with chip tag technology: do not remove or cover your timing strip.
• Registration Options: Options available for both adults and youth.
