Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis BUG Chase 5K

Event Overview

Join us for the 18th annual Kiwanis BUG Chase!

Beneficiary of Proceeds

• KIWANIS BUG Program: All proceeds benefit the Fort Myers Metro-McGregor Kiwanis BUG (Bring Up Grades) program at multiple schools, designed to provide recognition to local elementary students who raise their grades to an acceptable range and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next, and other local club sponsored youth service projects.
• Sponsored Programs: The club supports various leadership programs including Aktion Club at LARC, Circle K International (CKI) at Florida Gulf Coast University, and more.
• Community Contributions: The club funds multi-sensory rooms at several elementary schools and supplies world atlases to third and fourth grade students.
• Additional Support: The club also supports organizations like Pine Manor Improvement Association, March of Dimes, and Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Important Details

• Registration: Race day registrations begins at 7:30 a.m.
• Packet Pick Up: Race day packet pick up will take place from 7:30 a.m.-8:15 a.m.
• Race Time: Race time is 8:30 a.m.
• T-Shirt Guarantee: Short sleeve t-shirt in performance material guaranteed to the first 200 registered.

Awards and Limitations

• Awards: Overall age group awards to be presented.
• Post-Race Pick Up: No shirts or packets will be held after race day for pick up.
• Registration Cap: Runner registration is capped at 400 registrations.
• Parking: Parking inside the nature center lot is limited: available parking at the Lee Health Facility across from the nature center.

Timing and Registration

• Timing Technology: This event will be timed with chip tag technology. Your timing strip is attached to your race number.
• Registration Options: Both adult AND youth registration options are available.
• Shirt Size Guarantee: Register by 12/5/2025 to guarantee shirt size.
