The Trudge 5K

🏃‍♂️ WHAT

• Event: The Trudge 5K commemorates the 3 miles The Healing Place of New Hanover County clients walk every day in their recovery journey.
• Date: Join us February 7, 2026 to celebrate The Healing Place's anniversary by walking or running a 5K.
• Celebration: After your 5K, stay for the big anniversary celebration which includes free food (brunch), live music, community vendors, and more.
• Brunch: Brunch includes fruit, yogurt, and breakfast sandwiches.

• Race: 5K - This event is timed. You can walk or run.

• Availability: Parking is available at The Healing Place of New Hanover County.
• Overflow: Overflow parking is available across the street at Delaney Radiology.

📝 TO REGISTER

• Online: Registration is available online by clicking on the Sign Up button in the top right.
• At The Race: We suggest you register online. Online registration does not close until the race starts.
• QR Code: Those who register at the race will be asked to scan a QR code with their phones to register digitally.

• Mission: The Healing Place of New Hanover County truly is where hope is found.
• Services: We provide food, shelter, clothing, and recovery services at no cost to the client. All a person has to have is a desire to get sober.
• Impact: We opened February 1, 2023 and have helped nearly 1,000 people withdraw from drugs and alcohol and have admitted nearly 800 people into our long-term residential recovery program.
• Support: Every dollar raised by THPNC impacts a person either struggling with homelessness or active addiction.
