Footsteps for Families: 5k, 1 Mile & Kids Run

🏃‍♂️ 1st Annual Footsteps for Families!

Join us on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Harlem High School, Machesney Park, IL 61104 for a day full of fun and fitness. This event includes a 5K Run, 1 Mile Run, 1 Mile Walk, Kids Fun Run, and a Family Fun Day!

Help keep children safe and families together!

🏃 Event Details

• 5K Run:
  • A timed race for runners of all ages and abilities.
  • Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category (categories TBA).
  • Monetary prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. (1st $250, 2nd $200, 3rd $100)
• 1 Mile Competitive Race:
  • 1-Mile Run for competitive individuals.
• 1 Mile Walk Non-Competitive:
  • 1 Mile Walk for families/participants.
• Kids Fun Run/Walk 1/4 Mile:
  • A fun run for children of all ages will be run on the safety of the Harlem HS track (one loop/400 meters).
  • All participants will receive a ribbon and a small prize.
  • Must be under 10 years old.
  • MUST register and will receive a bib.

🎉 Family Fun Day

• Enjoy music, free food, games, activities, face painting, giveaways, and more!

📝 Additional Information

• The 5k course will include the scenic Willow Creek Path.
• There will be very few traffic crossings.
• Specific directions will be sent to every registrant.
• No inline skates or dogs please!
