Latinas Leading Tomorrow (LLT) Reach for the Stars 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♀️ About LLT and the Event

• Organization: Latinas Leading Tomorrow (LLT) is addressing the unique challenges and barriers faced by Latinas in their academic success and personal development.
• Purpose: We recognize that schools often overlook the cultural, language, and socio-economic needs of Latino students, and we aim to bridge this gap through cultural responsiveness and mentorship.
• Event: Join us for our upcoming 4th annual Reach for the Stars 5K Run/Walk.
• Fundraising Goal: We have an ambitious goal of $45,000 this year to empower Latina students.

🌟 How to Participate

• Step 1: REGISTER for the race.
• Step 2: Download the RunSignUp app to keep track of your race activities.
• Step 3: Pick up your race packet (See Packet Pickup Section).
• Step 4: Show up for the race! STROLLERS AND WALKERS ARE WELCOME. Click here for the RACE MAP AND LOGISTICS.

• Date: October 11, 2025
• Location: Hains Point (East Potomac Park), Washington, DC
• Start Time: The event will begin promptly at 8am.
• Weather: This is a rain or shine event, therefore the event will still take place even if it rains.

🚗 Getting Here

• Location: Hains Point Start Line is located at 972 Ohio Drive SW, Washington, DC.
• Metro: The closest Metro station is the Smithsonian.
• Parking: There are about 100 free parking spaces within the park around the start line. GET THERE EARLY!
• Driving Directions: From I-395 North, Take Exit 2 Potomac Park/Park Police. Follow the signs towards Hains Point. Turn left onto Buckeye Dr, then right onto Ohio Dr until you reach Hains Point Park.

🕒 Schedule of Events

• Check-In: 7:00-7:30 am - Check-In/pre-race activities
• Warm Up: 7:30 am
• Race Start: 8:00 am - Start of 5K Run/Walk
• Post Race Party: 9:30 am - At Hains Point Picnic Area
