The inaugural Albu-Quirky Run is an event you won’t want to miss! Whether you run or walk the 8K, 5K, or Kids K, this event is perfect! It starts and finishes at Tiguex Park. All participants receive a custom finisher medal and event tee shirt. Age group and overall awards will be presented at the finish.

📦 PACKET PICKUP

Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 to 3:00 p.m. at:

• HEART AND SOLE SPORTS: 2817 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque NM 87110

PLEASE NOTE: RACE-DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE: HOWEVER, ALL PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS MUST PICK UP THEIR EVENT PACKETS AT “PACKET PICK-UP.”

🚗 PARKING INFORMATION

Parking is available on the west side of Tiguex Park and Explora Museum. NO PARKING ON THE COURSE: 19TH STREET, MOUNTAIN ROAD, OLD TOWN ROAD.

🏁 RACE STARTING POINTS

• 5K: Starts on Mountain Rd., just NW of Tiguex Park.
• 8K: Starts on 19th Street, just SW of Tiguex Park.
• KIDS K: Starts on 19th St. directly west of Finish.

Reminder: This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip/Bib finish. The official time will start when the gun/horn goes off. All participants MUST wear a timing chip/bib to be factored into the results and be eligible for Overall and Age Group Awards.

⚠️ EVENT DAY CONDUCT

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously towards the community and their fellow participants during the Event. This includes:

• No public disturbances: Alcohol consumption and public urination/defecation prohibited.
• Follow directions: Adhere to instructions from all Event officials.
• Health guidelines: Attendees must comply with public health guidelines.
• Professionalism: Unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification.

🔍 RESULT TIMING

All participants are assigned an electronic timing device, which is attached to their bib before the Event. Participants must wear their assigned timing device continuously from the start line to the finish line to receive an accurate finish time.

💡 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Can I run with headphones? Yes, the ban has been amended.
• GPS devices? Participants may wear GPS watches/devices.
• Are strollers allowed? Yes, but must seed behind all other runners.
• What about dogs? No, please leave pets at home.

🏅 AWARDS AND RECOGNITION

Overall and division award winners will be announced immediately following Kid K. Top three finishers in various categories will receive prizes.
