Purpose of the Race

In honor of the Marathon Man, Attorney Eugene L. DeFronzo

Enjoy walking or running for your reason! The race represents:

• Fallen Soldiers: Honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
• First Responders: Acknowledging the bravery of our first responders.
• Child Abuse Prevention: Supporting efforts to prevent child abuse.
• Cancer Survivors: Celebrating survivors and raising awareness.

Entry Fees

• Adults: $30 thru 4/30: $35 5/1 thru race day
• Students: $10 thru 4/30: $15 5/1 thru race day
• Registration: Ensure registration by April 24, 2026, for T-shirt size.
• Post-registration: T-shirts are not guaranteed after April 24, 2026.

Course Information

• Course Type: 5K Loop
• Start & Finish: At 300 Grand St
• Terrain: Mostly flat with some slight rolling hills
• Timing: Chip timing will be used: course is certified (CT25012JHP).

Packet Pickup

• Date: Sunday, May 25, 2025
• Location: 61 Field Street, 1st Floor, Waterbury from 2-5 PM
• Race Day Pickup: Start/Finish Area Grand Street between 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM

Parking and Amenities

• Parking: Available at the garage located at 61 Field Street, Waterbury, CT
• Aid Station: Located at Start/Finish with water, lemonade, and snacks.
• Toilets: Available on course near start/finish area and Hamilton Park Road
• Bag Drop: Bag drop location adjacent to the Aid Station.

Awards and Announcements

• Finisher Awards: 1st, 2nd & 3rd trophy for M & F 19 & Under and 19 & Up: custom designed dog tag to all finishers.
• Pre-Race Announcements: At the starting line, 10 minutes before the race starts.

Course Rules

• Public Access: Course will be open to the public: yield to fast runners.
• Safety: Caution is advised when crossing streets: signs will be posted.
• Environmental Care: Absolutely no littering is allowed.

• Supporters: Bring a chair to sit and cheer on your runners.
