Lake Community Hope 5k and Fun Run

Event Overview

• Date: 8/23/26
• Location: Lake Community YMCA, Uniontown, OH
• Purpose: Raise money for the Lake Community Hope Scholarship Fund in Memory of Melissa, Renee, Amber, and Evan.
• Event Features: New course route, more sponsors, and vendors.

Race Details

• 5K: Designed for competitive runners, joggers, power walkers, and leisurely strollers.
• Timing: Features a chip timing system.
• Fun Run: Ideal for younger children and participants wanting to cheer or volunteer.

Shirt Information

• Eligibility: First 200 registrants receive a unisex shirt.
• Sizes: Youth Small to Large, Adult Small to 3X-Large.
• No Shirt Option: Participants can donate the cost of their shirt to the scholarship.

Packet Pickup

• Early Pickup: Uniontown Lions Festival, August 19-22 from 6-8pm at 1289 Edison St. NW, Hartville, OH 44632.
• Event Day Pickup: Near the start line at Lake Community YMCA from 6:30-7:30am, 428 King Church Ave SW, Hartville, OH 44632 (by tennis courts).

Schedule

• 6:30-7:30 AM: Event Day Packet Pickup/Registration
• 7:45 AM: Opening Ceremony and Announcements
• 8:00 AM: Fun Run Starts
• 8:10 AM: 5K Starts, 9:00 AM: Awards Ceremony

Awards

• 5K Run/Walk: Top 3 Overall Men & Women.
• Age Groups: Top 3 Men & Women in age groups 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
• 5K Competitive Walking: Top 1 Overall Men & Women Walker.
