PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️Race Overview

The Annual PV Schools Community 5K Fun Run will be held on January 31, 2026 at Horizon High School. Our goal is to raise awareness and encourage district employees, their families, and the community they serve, to live a healthy, active lifestyle. You must be at the event to receive your t-shirt.

📋Registration Information

• School Assignment: PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHOOSE A SCHOOL/SITE WHEN YOU REGISTER. EACH RACE PARTICIPANT NEEDS TO BE ASSIGNED TO A SCHOOL/SITE SO THAT LOCATION HAS A CHANCE TO WIN!!
• Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED.
• Timing: Runners/walkers will not be allowed to start more than 5 minutes past the start time of 9:15 for safety and contractual reasons, so please be on time as we want you to participate!
• T-shirt Distribution: T-shirts will be provided the day of the event to our registered participants in sizes S to XXL as well as a limited number of youth sizes. Please be certain to indicate your T-shirt size on your registration form, and register by January 17th, 2025 to guarantee a race t-shirt. You must attend the event to receive your t-shirt.

💧Event Amenities

• Refreshments: Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race.
• Timing: This event is chip-timed by Race Timers and results will be posted on PVUSD's website.
• Online Fee: Please note there is a small online registration fee charged by RunSignup. We have kept our registration fees flat for the past several years to help offset the small fee charged to register online. Thank you!

🕗Event Schedule and Activities

8:00 – 9:00 AM: Registration/ Check in
8:00 AM: Health Fair begins
8:45 AM: Welcome Announcement by Superintendent Dr. C. Todd Cummings
9:00 AM: Kids Dash (kids ages 10 and under)
9:10 AM: Stretch
9:15 AM: Race Starts
10:00 AM: Awards Ceremony
11:00 AM: Health Fair Ends

🏁Course Information

Runners will exit the Horizon HS football field south at the back gate and head east on Nisbet Rd up to Greenway Rd. Runners/Walkers will proceed down 64th St to Acoma then up 56th St back to Nisbet to reenter and finish on the field. There are 2 aid stations on the course: One is on 64th St just south of Greenway. The other is at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street.

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers in each age division:

• 8-12
• 13-19
• 20-29
• 30-39
• 40-49
• 50-59
• 60-69
• 70+

👥Spectator Information

We welcome spectators to cheer on our runners!

Furry friends/pets will not be allowed in the event or on the field/premises for safety reasons. Community Members: You are welcome, so please join us!
