5K on the Runway benefiting the P47 Foundation INC

It is presented by the Evansville Wartime Museum, the P-47 Foundation and the Evansville Regional Airport with our title sponsor, the Liberty Federal Credit Union.

How exciting it will be to run on our airport runway!!!! Take off on Saturday, May 2, 2026 for the 2026 5K on the Runway presented by the title sponsor, Liberty Federal Credit Union, benefiting the Evansville -47 Foundation, Inc. giving runners a unique view of the airport and the Evansville Wartime Museum, while having fun and supporting a great, local organization.

🏃 Race Details

• Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
• Location: Evansville Wartime Museum, 7503 Petersburg Road, Evansville, IN 47725
• 5K Start Time: 9:00 AM
• 1 Mile Start Time: 8:45 AM

🏅 Awards

• Trophies: First place trophies for overall male and female runners in the 5K event.
• Medals: First place medals for winners in each age bracket.
• Age Groups: 1-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-99
• Special Notes: Only one winner per age group will receive a medal.

📝 Registration Information

• Fees: $25 until February 14th, $30 after, $35 from April 30 to May 2.
• Kid’s Dash: Registration fee is $5.00, which includes a medal.
• Shirt Size Guarantee: Registration by April 10, 2026, guarantees shirt size.
• Day-of Registration: Available from 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM for $35.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Date: May 1, 2026, between 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Location: Evansville Wartime Museum
• Saturday Pickup: 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM on May 2, 2026.
• Items: T-shirts, race bib numbers, and registration packets.

🚸 Kid’s Dash

Children from the age of 1 to 9 years old may participate in the Kid’s Dash race on their own. Beginning at 8:30 AM, the Kid’s Dash race is from 50 meters to 150 meters. All finishers of the Kid’s Dash will receive a medal.

🔍 Results and Timing

• Timing: The event will be chip timed.
• Results Access: Available online immediately after the event.
• Email Updates: Results will be sent to provided email addresses.
• Official Timing: Results will be posted at www.tothefinishtiming.com.

🚗 Parking Information

• Encouragement: Carpooling suggested to save parking spots.
• Parking Locations: SRG Global (Former Whirlpool Building) and Anchor Industries.
• Shuttle Service: Provided from parking locations to the Evansville Wartime Museum.
• Handicap Parking: Available with advance notification required.

🎉 Event Highlights

• Museum Access: Special rate of $5 per person to visit the Evansville Wartime Museum on race day.
• Young Eagles Flights: Free flights for children ages 8-17 after the event at 11 AM.
• Flight Registration: Must sign up online: limited seats available.
