Race Overview

It is presented by the Evansville Wartime Museum, the P-47 Foundation and the Evansville Regional Airport with our title sponsor, the Liberty Federal Credit Union.

How exciting it will be to run on our airport runway!!!!

Take off on Saturday, May 2, 2026 for the 2026 5K on the Runway presented by the title sponsor, Liberty Federal Credit Union, benefiting the Evansville -47 Foundation, Inc. giving runners a unique view of the airport and the Evansville Wartime Museum, while having fun and supporting a great, local organization.

• Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
• Location: Evansville Wartime Museum, 7503 Petersburg Road, Evansville, IN 47725
• 5K Run Time: 9 AM
• 1 Mile Event: 8:45 AM

Kid's Dash

The Kid’s Dash race will be held at 8:30 AM. Children ages 1 - 9 are invited to participate in the Kid’s Dash.

• Age Groups: 1–3 years (50 meters), 4-6 years (100 meters), 7-9 years (150 meters)
• Registration Fee: $5 per child, includes a medal
• Youth T-shirts: $12 online through April 2, 2026

Registration Information

• Early Registration Fee: $25 until February 14, $30 afterwards
• Last Minute Registration: $35 from April 30 to May 2, 2026
• Kid's Dash Registration Fee: $5, includes participation medal
• Cut-off for Shirt Size: Register by April 2, 2026

Parking and Accessibility

• Parking Locations: SRG Global (the Former Whirlpool Building) and Anchor Industries
• Shuttle Service: Provided from parking locations to the venue
• Handicap Parking: Available with prior notification
• Valuables: Secure building for items during the event

Awards and Timing

• Awards: Trophies for overall male and female winners in 5K
• Age Group Medals: First place medals for male and female in each age bracket
• Results: Chip timed, available online post-event
• Race Timing: Officially timed by "To the Finish"

• Breeze Airways Drawing: Two roundtrip flight vouchers for one lucky participant
