Race Overview

It is presented by the Evansville Wartime Museum, the P-47 Foundation and the Evansville Regional Airport with our title sponsor, the Liberty Federal Credit Union.

How exciting it will be to run on our airport runway!!!! Take off on Saturday, May 2, 2026 for the 2026 5K on the Runway presented by the title sponsor, Liberty Federal Credit Union, benefiting the Evansville -47 Foundation, Inc. giving runners a unique view of the airport and the Evansville Wartime Museum, while having fun and supporting a great, local organization.

• Date: Saturday, May 2, 2026
• Location: Evansville Wartime Museum, 7503 Petersburg Road, Evansville, IN 47725
• 5K Run Time: 9am
• 1 Mile Walk: 8:45 am

Kid's Dash

• Time: 8:30 am
• Ages: Children ages 1 - 9 are invited
• Distances: 1-3 years (50 meters), 4-6 years (100 meters), 7-9 years (150 meters)
• Cost: $5 per child, includes a medal

Registration and Fees

• Pricing: $25 until February 14, $30 afterwards, $35 from April 30 to May 2
• Inclusions: Event t-shirts for registrants
• Kid’s Dash Registration: $5 includes a participation medal
• Shirt Size Guarantee: Register by April 2, 2026

Awards and Prizes

• Trophies: First place for overall male and female runners
• Age Group Medals: Winners in various age brackets
• Prizes: Breeze Airways prize for two roundtrip flight vouchers to one lucky participant
• Results: Chip timed with results available online

Museum Tickets

• Discount: $5 per person for registrants and guests
• Children: Ages 5 and under free
• Validity: Tickets valid until June 1st
• Purchase: Available at the event and online during registration

Parking and Accessibility

• Parking: Available from 7am to 12pm at designated locations
• Shuttle Service: Provided from parking to the Evansville Wartime Museum
• Handicap Parking: Available, prior notification required
• Valuables: Secure storage options provided during the event
