Race Course

• Course Description: Our race features a 10-Miler and 5K course that welcomes all runners to participate in person!
• Location: The racecourse uses both lanes of a 5-mile section of the GWMP between the GW Parkway Circle and W. Boulevard Drive.
• Scenic Route: The George Washington Memorial Parkway is one of the most beautiful and iconic stretches of highway in the nation.
• Permits: George Washington's Mount Vernon is grateful to the National Park Service for permitting the Patriot Run to use the GWMP.

Awards and Recognition

• Participant Perks: All participants will receive a commemorative George Washington Patriot Run technical t-shirt and a spectacular finisher medal engraved with George Washington's bust.
• Award Categories: Awards will be presented to 1st place overall, by age division, and for the Military/First Responder categories.
• Finish Festival: The Finish Festival will offer music, food and beverage concessions, and a free beer for each runner.
• Thank You: Thank you for choosing to run with us. We hope you enjoy the race!

Fast Facts

• Registration: Online registration will remain open until 7:00 am on Race Day.
• Shuttle Service: Free round-trip shuttle service will be available between Alexandria, VA, and Mount Vernon on race morning.
• Parking: A limited number of reserved parking spots at George Washington's Mount Vernon will be available for purchase during registration.
• Kiss n Ride: Kiss n Ride will open at 5:00 am at the Mount Vernon Post Office. This location is drop-and-go only.

Registration Information

All active-duty public safety personnel, including police, fire, EMTs, and members of the military (including veterans), receive a $5.00 discount as George Washington's Mount Vernon's token of appreciation.

In-Person 5K

• Register February 16 - March 31: $42.00
• Register April 1 - August 14: $52.00
• Register August 15 - September 13: $62.00

In-Person 10-Miler

• Register February 16 - March 31: $65.00
• Register April 1 - August 14: $72.00
• Register August 15 - September 13: $82.00

Additional Benefits

In-person registration includes the chance to run along the beautiful George Washington Memorial Parkway, plus access to the Finish Festival featuring music, food, and beverage concessions, and complimentary bananas, bottled water, and a beer for each runner (21+). Runners also receive free admission to George Washington’s Mount Vernon.

All participants are invited to tour the interior of George Washington’s Mansion after completing the race. Show your race bib for entry into the Mansion line on the Bowling Green.
