Brought to you by Beats for a Cure:

Beats for a Cure is a non-profit organization that uses music to raise funds to fight various types of cancers. The initial goal was to aid breast cancer research and support, but has grown to assist not only breast cancer, but prostate, multiple myeloma, and for this event, childhood cancer.

Fundraising Opportunity:

• Become a Fundraiser: When you register, you can become a fundraiser or create/join a fundraising team.
• Top Fundraiser Prize: A prize will be awarded to the top fundraiser.
• TAX DEDUCTIBLE: Funds raised are tax deductible.
• Sponsorship: Friends, family, and businesses can sponsor your run/walk by donating to your page.

Race Day Schedule:

• Registration: 7am
• Race Start: 5K 8:30am – 1M 8:30am
• Awards: Approx. 9:30am

13 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Distances:

• 5K Run/Walk
• 1M Run/Walk

Timing:

• 5K: Chip timing
• 1M: Untimed

Registration:

Race-day registration/packet pickup begins at 7am across from the Ticket Plaza inside the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, Ohio 44109).

Pre-Registration 5K: (Before August 29th)

• $30: (18 and under)

Race Day Registration 5K:

• $45: (over 18)
• $35: (18 and under)

Pre-Registration 1M Walk: (Before August 29th)

• $30: (over 18)
• $20: (18 and under)

Race Day Registration 1M Walk:

• $35: (over 18)
• $25: (18 and under)

Virtual Run: $50

Spectator: $12. All tickets include access to the Zoo following the event.

Family Registration: $5 off per participant (4-10 members)

Awards:

• Top 3 Overall Male: 5K
• Top 3 Overall Female: 5K
• Top 3 in Each Age Category: 5K

Virtual Run:

Want to participate from out of town? You still can! Complete the 5K race or 1 mile walk on your own. Run or walk, outdoors or on a treadmill – you choose! If you would like to submit your 5K results, the deadline to submit times is Sunday, September 6.

Virtual event participants can live anywhere! Please feel free to invite family and friends from around the world to join you.

You will be mailed your shirt prior to race week if registered by June 30, 2026. We encourage you to wear your shirt and take photographs of your virtual run/walk. If you register after June 30, 2026 your shirt will be mailed out after the race.

Refund Policy:

Sorry, but all entries are non-refundable. Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year’s race or any other race.
