Run for the Ribbon 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• What: Michigan Men's Health Foundation's annual Run for the Ribbon 5K
• When: Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at 8 a.m.
• Where: Detroit Zoo, Royal Oak, MI
• Purpose: Support prostate cancer survivors and their loved ones

🎽 Race Options

• Distance: Participants can choose the 5K run/walk loop or a 1 Mile Stroll inside the zoo
• Perks: All participants will receive a race shirt, medal, and complimentary entry to the Detroit Zoo
• Special Option: Doze for Dads is available for those not attending in person
• Note: Doze for Dads registrants cannot participate on race day without registering for in-person events

🤝 Team Participation

• Fundraising: Registrants are encouraged to build a team and create a personal fundraising page
• Sharing: Invite friends and family to donate when they sign up
• Customization: Participants can upload photos, share personal stories, and set fundraising goals
• Unique URLs: Each team or personal fundraising page will have its own custom URL

• Survivor Gifts: Prostate cancer survivors should visit the Michigan Men's Health Foundation tent for a special gift
• Community Support: This event aims to foster support and awareness for prostate cancer

🚫 Regulations

• Pets: According to Zoo regulations, dogs are not allowed at this race
