- Event: Join us for the 6th running of Mammoth Cave 50K/25K trail race on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in beautiful Mammoth Cave National Park!
- Location: 130-318 Old Dixie Hwy, Park City, KY
- Trail: The Bike & Hike Trail offers a scenic, wooded experience with a crushed gravel surface and some challenging ascents/descents.
- Perfect for: First-time trail runners or racers looking to set a lightning fast PR!
🕰️ Race Day Details
- Start Time: The race will start at 7:00 AM (Central) for both distances.
- Cutoff: A hard cutoff of 8 hours will be imposed for both distances, and the race will end by 3 PM.
- Location: Both distances will start from Bell's Tavern Pavilion in Park City, KY.
- Post-Cutoff Finisher Policy: We value all finishers, even after the cutoff, acknowledging their effort and determination.
🌍 Exploring Mammoth Cave
- Significance: Mammoth Cave is the world's largest known cave system, created 10 million years ago and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Visit: Make sure to get tickets to visit the cave prior to your arrival.

- Local History: The race was started by Kevin Mays, who did a wonderful job of involving the community.
🚫 Race Restrictions
- Registration Limit: Registration is capped at 150 runners due to National Park restrictions. Additional spots may open based on demand and permit approval.
- Trail Distance: Understand that this is a trail race: distances are approximate and may not align perfectly with GPS measurements.
- Cupless Race: Runners must provide their own collapsible cups, bottles, or hydration packs for refills at the aid stations.
- Aid Stations: Aid stations will offer water, sports drinks, and delicious snacks.
