🏃‍♂️ Kent Brain Day 5K 2025

In celebration of World Brain Day 2025, which is July 22nd, we are hosting our 5th annual Brain Day 5K on Saturday, July 26th, in Kent, OH. Participants may choose to join us for an informal run/walk or use any 5K or one mile route anywhere they wish! The Brain Day 5K is open to all on and off-campus supporters. Strollers, scooters, and leashed dogs are welcome to participate in the one mile walk only.

🕘 Event Schedule

• One-mile walk/run: Starts at 9 am in front of Cunningham Hall on the Esplanade.
• 5K walk/run: Begins at 10 am in front of Cunningham Hall.
• Location: 1275 University Esplanade, Kent, OH.
• Registration: Participants can register online at Eventbrite.

🧠 Theme and Beneficiaries

• Theme: Brain Health for All Ages.
• Proceeds: Benefit the KSU Biology Graduate Student Council's Award Fund.
• Support: Contributions to the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Greater Cleveland.
• Services Provided: Support groups, education programs, patient referrals, and advocacy.

👕 T-Shirt Information

• Local T-shirt pick-up: In front of Cunningham Hall in early July (TBA) and on the event day (8:30 – 10:00 am).
• Shipping: T-shirts shipped should arrive at your provided address the week of the event.
• Order Deadline: Last day to order t-shirts is June 30th.
• Sizes: Range from S-3XL, full size guide can be viewed here.

🗺️ Route Information

• 5K Route: Modified to avoid hillier portions of campus.
• Signage: All routes will be chalked and signage will be placed as needed.
