12 Hours of the Hill of Truth Mountain Bike Race and HOT Trot

🏞️ Event Overview

On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the 12 Hours of the Hill of Truth mountain bike race kicks off at 9 a.m. and ends at 9 p.m. This is your opportunity to see how many laps of the 7-8 mile course you can complete in 12 hours. Some racers race the entire 12 hours, while some like to race until lunch time then call it a day, some race solo and some gather friends and compete as a two or four person team. It’s completely up to you. Any way you decide to participate, it will be a challenge!

NEW FOR 2025! The HOT Trot trail running race takes place at 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025 on the same course as the MTB race and racers will complete one lap. Come run, hike or walk the dog!

🏗️ Fundraising Goals

This festival is the main fundraising event for the Clinch Valley Trail Alliance and all proceeds from the event will go towards our current fundraising goals:

• Changing Booth: for the Dirt Lab parking lot
• Repave: pumptrack at Dirt Lab
• Shade Shelter: for new jump line (jump line coming summer 2025)
• Renovation: of Ridge Trail

🚴 Race Categories

Choose from the following categories for the 12 Hours of the Hill of Truth mountain bike race. All HOT Trot trail run racers will be individual.

CATEGORIES

• Open Team of 4: Any combination of riders and skill levels. Co-ed.
• Sport Team of 4: At least half of the team members must be Sport Class racers, no expert/elite/pro racers. Co-ed.
• Recreational Team of 4: those wishing to participate at a beginner level, no sport, expert/elite/pro racers. Co-ed.
• Women Team of 4: All female team members, any skill level.
• Masters (45+): Team of 4, all racers 45 years of age or older. Co-ed.
• U18 Team of 4: All racers must be under 18. Co-ed.
• Duo: Team of two riders, any skill level. Co-ed.
• Solo Men: any skill level, any age.
• Solo Women: any skill level, any age.
• Singlespeed Solo Men: any skill level, any age. Bike must be single geared.
• Singlespeed Solo Women: any skill level, any age. Bike must be single geared.
• Solo Women E-bike: any level, any age. Bike must be eMTB.
• Solo Men E-bike: any level, any age. Bike must be eMTB.
