Event Overview
- Tradition: RCSF Treasured Tradition Continues!
- Community: Walk, run or fly as ONE community for ONE cause.
- Goal: Support the BEST educational experience for Rochester Community Schools students.
- Participants: Join over 1,100 participants celebrating fitness and family time!

- Type: The Rochester Community Schools (RCS) Foundation Hometown Hustle is a five-kilometer timed or untimed fun run/walk.
- Presenter: This event is presented by Chief Financial Credit Union.
- Fundraising: It serves as a principal fundraiser to enhance the educational experience for RCS students.
- Fun: Celebrate with family, fitness, and donating to a great cause!
One-Mile COLOR Fun Run
- Back Again: The One-Mile COLOR Fun Run is BACK!
- Route: A one-mile untimed route for runners, walkers, or wannabe flyers.
- Colors: Participants will be plastered with different colors from head to toe!
- Special Gift: Participants will receive a CAPE!
Post-Race Celebration
- Fun Continues: Enjoy music, dancing, and photo ops in the parking lot of Chief Financial Credit Union.
- Meet Sponsors: Engage with sponsors and other participants.
- 5K Engagement: Participate with the 5K runners/walkers around Paint Creek Trail and City of Rochester.
Schedule
- Opening Ceremony: 8 a.m. (includes National Anthem, Pledge, and raffle winners)
- Color Fun Run: Horn goes off at 8:10 a.m. SHARP
- 5K Start: Horn goes off at 8:30 a.m.
- Awards: Closing remarks and awards at 10:00 a.m.
Cost
- Adult Registration: $30
- RCS K-12 Student Registration: $20
- Group Discount: Register 4 or more adults and receive $5 off for each registration!
- Included: Every registrant receives a swag bag with a t-shirt, bib, and sponsor goodies!
Important Reminders
- T-Shirt Deadline: Register by August 31 for a guaranteed t-shirt size.
- After August 31: Late registrants may receive a different size or a previous year's t-shirt.
- School Competition: The school with the most participants wins $1,000 for their building!
