🏃‍♂️ Introduction

CONNOISSEUR MEDIA & The Surfside Hotel invites you to the kick off the " Greatest Bluefish Tournament on Earth" with a 5K race or walk raising money for MAKE-A-WISH® CONNECTICUT.

The CONNOISSEUR MEDIA & the Surfside Hotel BLUES ARE RUNNING 5K - YEAR TWO! is hosted by The Little Pub in the Lordship section of Stratford. The Surfside Hotel & Little Pub overlook Long Island Sound as does most of the course!

Join us Sunday, August 10th for a great morning of fun, food & froth, followed by even more fun at the Little Pub.

• Date: August 10, 2025
• Location: 10 Washington Parkway, Stratford, CT
• Course: Beautiful 5K (3.11mi) course overlooking Long Island Sound.
• Registration Cutoff: Strict cutoff at 250 people.

Classic t-shirts size guaranteed by 7/31 (after 7/31 'as available' and we could run out! Don't be disappointed).

You will be the envy of the neighborhood, or at least a few friends, when you get this terrific t-shirt sporting the unique logo of the "Blues are Running". It will likely be worth huge amounts of $$ if you don't wear it, keep it sealed, and bring it to the 'Antique Road Show' when it comes to your town.

IT IS A WONDERFULLY FLAT AND SCENIC COURSE - Course Map

We encourage ALL abilities to join us. Everyone completing the full 5K is eligible for awards based on their computer time.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Prizes: The TOP 3 Male & Female Finishers overall will receive a prize and be removed from their age group.
• Age Group Awards: Awards to be announced for various age groups.
• Updates: Second and third place may be added - watch for updates.
• Give Away: Every participant will be automatically entered into the 'GIVE AWAY' as part of their race fees.

🍔 Post Race Food and Beverage

As part of the entrant's race fees, Little Pub will offer each 21 & older participant an adult beverage as well as a non-alcoholic option. We will also have snacks, chips & more.

NEW ADDITION! The Lordship lobster truck will be open for pre/post 5K sales of lobster rolls, hot dogs, hush puppies, beer, wine, and more!

🗓️ Event Timeline

• 6/3: Registration Opens $30 till 8/3 ($25 for 20 & under)
• 7/31: Guaranteed shirt size ends
• 8/4: Registration fee increases to $40 through 8/10 ($30 for 20 & under)
• 8/10: 7:45 am Event pickup starts at the Little Pub picnic lot
