“25 JAM” 5K Run/Walk or 1 Mile Walk

Event Overview

Get Ready to lace up your running shoes and join us for the “Second Annual 25 JAM 5K RUN/WALK or 1 MILE WALK. This exciting event honors the incredible life of Jesse Allen Moss Jr.

Purpose of the Event

• Community Spirit: Join us for a filled day of positive energy and a heartfelt tribute.
• Health and Wellness: Whether you are a seasoned runner, casual walker, or looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle, this event is for YOU!
• Nostalgic Journey: Experience a nostalgic journey down memory lane with pictures of the historic Cascade Park along the route.
• Memory and Impact: The images will not only highlight the park’s historical significance but also honor the cherished memories and impact of Jesse.

Awards and Prizes

• Runner Prize: The overall best time for the runner will receive $125.00 cash.
• Walker Prize: The overall best time for the top walker will receive $50.00 cash.
• Registration Deadline: Be sure to register by May 1, 2026 to take advantage of the discount.
• Fees: The registration fee is $15.00, increasing to $25.00 on May 2, 2026. Children ages 5 and under are free.

Event Details

• Date and Time: Event starts at 9:00 AM. Please arrive by 8:00 AM for check-in.
• Preparation: Receive your t-shirt and stretch before the run/walk.
• Weather: The event occurs “Rain or Shine.”

Proceeds and Scholarship

All proceeds will go towards New Castle Area student Athletes in the form of “The Little Brother Scholarship” and “25 JAM.” Jesse would give the coat off his back to help a student athlete. He would make sure that every student athlete had the essential resources needed to compete at the best of their ability and thrive as a student.

25JAM is a non-profit dedicated to fostering the personal and professional development of student athletes by providing comprehensive mentorship in financial literacy. 25JAM empowers students from middle school throughout high school with essential life skills including emotional intelligence, money management, budgeting, college readiness, and entrepreneurial skills.
