🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us November 2nd, 2025, [Sunday] for the 2nd Shatter the Stigma 5K Run/Walk as we recognize the promising potential of psychedelics for mental health treatment and beyond. Especially for Veterans & First Responders struggling with hard to treat mental health. Recently, the U.S. Department of Defense committed $9.8 million to research this exact cause, and we’re here to keep that momentum going. Furthermore, According to recent RAND report 8 million Americans took psychedelics in the past year. This is 2.5 million more users than 2019 estimates of 5.5 million users. As new research comes out and public perception shifts, more and more people will use psychedelics. We will run/walk to raise awareness and reduce harm and stigma reduction through education and resources in this quickly growing area of treatment.

🤝 Purpose of the Event

We are raising money for Veterans & First responders. Our heroes fight for our freedom and safety, we ought to fight for their mental health.

On the morning of Sunday, November 2nd runners and walkers of all abilities, advocates, and affected individuals will come together. Money raised will support two non-profits: Reason For Hope and the K Task Force.

This will be our second event we hope to serve the people that need it most and create an environment in which continued research can be done.

Funds raised through 5K registrations and fundraising efforts of teams and individuals will support operations of Reason For Hope and the K Task Force.

7:00 AM - 7:45 AM: Post Race Sign In & Announcements/Music
8:00 AM - 8:30 AM: Race starts
9:30 AM: Announce winners
10:00 AM: Yoga Class
11:00 AM: Music

⚠️ Heat Warning

Temperature/humidity can be high in South Florida. Participants should drink plenty of fluids (non-alcoholic) for 48 hours prior to, during and upon finishing the race. Beware of heat-injury symptoms (Dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech and thoughts). Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur. Wear loose, light-colored clothing.
