🎉 Purpose of the Event

• Benefit Run: The 8th running of the Back2School 5K is a benefit run for South Florence High School Cross Country Team.
• Fund Usage: Funds raised will be used to cover meet expenses, purchase training items, and gear.
• Treats: Kona Ice will be onsite to refresh you with cool treats.
• Course: The course is fast and flat through the neighborhood adjacent to the YMCA.

🗓️ Race Day Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Friday, August 24 from 4-6 PM: Race day starting at 7:15 AM.
• Race Start Time: 8:00 AM.
• Dogs: Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash.
• Status: See you there!

👕 T-Shirts

• Guarantee: To be guaranteed a t-shirt, register by August 11, 2023.
• Sizes: Adult - S, M, L, XL: Youth - YS, YM, YL.

🏅 5K Awards

• Overall Awards: 1 male and 1 female.
• Masters: 1 male and 1 female.
• Age Group: 3 awards in each Male and Female age group.

👶 5K Age Groups

• 11 & under: 5th grade.
• 12-18: Middle & high school.
• 19-29:
• 30-39:
• 40-49:
• 50-59:
• 60 & up:

💵 5K Fees

• Early Registration: Students (18 & under) $20 by June 30: Adults $25 by June 30.
• Subsequent Fees: $30 from July 1 - August 11.
• Late Registration: $40 from August 12 - August 23.

📦 Packet Pickup Location and Time

• Location: Florence Family YMCA Friendship Park, 1700 Rutherford Drive, Florence, SC 29505.
• Pickup Time: Friday, August 24 from 4-6 PM.
• Instructions: Come to the covered pavilion area at the park & playground.
• ID Requirement: Please bring an ID.

📝 Event Special Notes

• Strollers: Yes, strollers are welcome.
• Music: Yes, you can listen to music while running.
• Pets: Yes, pets are welcome but must be on a leash or in a pet stroller.
• Age Restrictions: No age restrictions: children 11 and under must have a parent/guardian nearby.
