🌟 Event Overview

We’re thrilled to continue a beloved tradition! For 22 years, the Parade of Stars has united our community in celebration, awareness, and support of individuals with Down syndrome. This year’s event is bigger and better than ever—starting with a morning 5K, followed by our signature 1-mile Walk of Fame Parade. From live performances and an entertainment hour (10am–11am) to carnival games and special appearances from service men and women, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

The Down Syndrome Society of Wichita (DSSW) is a nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families, educators, medical providers, and allies. While we’re based in Wichita, our reach spans across the lower third of Kansas—including Hutchinson, Garden City, Dodge City, and Liberal.
