Please bring a CANned food item and join us for the 5th annual CAN the Bird 5K Turkey Trot, on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, beginning at 8:00 am. The race will begin and end in the Walmart parking lot, 5885 Kingstowne Boulevard, Alexandria, VA 22315.

• Early Bird Registration: Through October 17
• Adult 5K - $30
• Military 5K - $25
• 25 & Under - $20
• 12 & Under - $10
• Standard Registration: October 18- November 21
• Adult 5K - $35
• Military 5K - $30
• 25 & Under - $25
• 12 & Under - $10
• Last Chance Registration: November 22-27
• Adult 5K - $40
• Military 5K - $35

• Online Registration: Closes November 27 at 7:45 am: only online registration will be accepted.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Location: Rudy's, 6625 S Van Dorn St, Alexandria, VA 22315 on Nov 25th & 26th, from 1:00-4:00 PM
• Race Day Pickup: Walmart, 5885 Kingstowne Blvd, Alexandria, VA from 7:00-8:00 AM
• Commemorative Item: Participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt.

🏆 Awards

• Top Finishers: Awards for top three overall male and female finishers.
• Age Groups: Awards for the top three male and female finishers in the 12 & Under and 13-18 age groups.
• Special Categories: Fastest male and female runner with dog, and fastest male and female runner with stroller will receive an award.
• Food Donations: Non-perishable food items accepted by Koinonia.
