D.C.’s largest and only Turkey Trot is more than a race—it’s a tradition of compassion and community. On Thanksgiving morning, join thousands of neighbors at Freedom Plaza for SOME’s 24th Annual Trot for Hunger 5K and Little Turkey 1-Miler.

Whether you’re chasing a personal best, walking with family, or cheering from the sidelines, every stride fuels change. Together, we’ll transform a holiday run into hope for our community—supporting meals, housing, healthcare, and job training for those most in need.

This Thanksgiving, let’s make every mile matter.

🕒 Event Timeline

• 6:30 am: Bib Pick Up Opens on Freedom Plaza
• 7:30 am: Little Turkey 1 Miler Starts
• 8:15 am: 5K Starts
• 9:15 am: Awards Ceremony

📅 Pre-Race Packet Pick Up

Pre-race Packet Pick Up is your only opportunity to pick up your t-shirt before the race. If you do not attend pre-race packet pick, you will not be able to pick up your t-shirt until after 9:00 am on race day.

From November 1-30, run a timed or untimed 5K from your neighborhood or local park all while raising funds and spreading awareness of SOME's mission! Help us reach all 50 states and expand our global participation!
