The Road Race for Education, presented by Principle Intelligence, is an annual event located in the heart of East Atlanta. This event, now in its 45th year, brings together the East Lake Community and East Atlanta Neighbors to celebrate and advocate for quality education. The road race was previously named The Mohammed Ali Road Race in honor of the legendary athlete Muhammad Ali. This race symbolizes courage, determination, and community spirit.

- Date: September 7, 2026
- Location: 2901 Clifton Springs Rd, Decatur, GA
- In-person 5K Registration Includes: Participant shirt (while supplies last), participant Medal, chipped-timed 5K road race - USTAF Certified Course, Peachtree Qualifier.
- Virtual 5K Registration Includes: Participant shirt, Packet shipping not included, and access to virtual results reporting.
🗓️ Planning and Updates Timeline
- Transfer Policy: All registrations are transferable: however, they are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please only sign up if you are fully prepared to participate.
- Packet Pickup: All participant packets must be picked up at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam on August 29, 2026, from 1 PM - 5 PM.
- Deadline to Transfer: The deadline to transfer your race to Virtual is midnight on August 22. Follow the instructions HERE.
- Mailing Disclaimer: In-Person participant packets will not be mailed out.
💵 Registration & Pricing Schedule
- August 1, 2025: Race Shirt Deadline. Register before this date to be guaranteed a race shirt: 5k Run/Walk - $50, Senior Walk $45, Student Run $25, $20 Kids Fun Run.
- August 2, 2026: Late Registration Pricing/ Virtual 5K Registration Closes: 5k Run/Walk - $55, Senior Walk $45, Student Run $45, $20 Kids Fun Run.
- Virtual Pricing: $45 VIRTUAL 5K (does not include shipping).
- Registration Conversion: How to convert your registration between In-Person and Virtual is valid until August 21, 2026.
