The Road Race for Education, presented by Principle Intelligence, is an annual event located in the heart of East Atlanta. This event, now in its 45th year, brings together the East Lake Community and East Atlanta Neighbors to celebrate and advocate for quality education. The road race was previously named The Mohammed Ali Road Race in honor of the legendary athlete Muhammad Ali. This race symbolizes courage, determination, and community spirit.

In-person Registration Includes:

• Participant Shirt: Road Race for Education participant shirt (while supplies last)
• Participant Medal: A medal for all finishers
• Chipped-Timed: Chipped-timed 5K road race - USTAF Certified Course
• Qualifier: Peachtree Qualifier

Virtual Registration Includes:

• Participant Shirt: Road Race for Education participant shirt
• Packet Shipping: Packet shipping not included in registration
• Results Reporting: Access to virtual results reporting

🗓️ Planning and Updates Timeline

• Transfer Policy: All registrations are transferable: however, they are NON-REFUNDABLE. Please only sign up if you are 100% sure you are prepared to participate in the Road Race for Education 2026 in the selected format.
• Packet Pickup: All participant packets must be picked up at the Atlanta Masjid of Al-Islam on: August 29, 2025, 1 PM - 5 PM
• Transfer Deadline: The deadline to transfer your race to Virtual is midnight on August 22. Follow the instructions HERE.

💰 Registration & Pricing Schedule

• August 1, 2026: Race Shirt Deadline - Register before this date to be guaranteed a race shirt: 5k Run/Walk - $50, 5k Run/Walk, Senior Walk $45, Student Run $25, $20 Kids Fun Run
• August 2, 2026: Late Registration Pricing/ Virtual 5K Registration Closes - 5k Run/Walk - $55, $45 5k Run/Walk, Senior Walk $45, Student Run $45, $20 Kids Fun Run
• Virtual Pricing: $45 VIRTUAL 5K (does not include shipping) - How to convert your registration from In-Person to Virtual or From Virtual to In-Person (by 8/21/2026)
