🏃‍♂️ 10th Annual Equal Access Birmingham Heart + Sole 5K

On October 11, 2025, Equal Access Birmingham (EAB), a free medical clinic run by medical students from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine, is hosting the 10th Annual Heart + Sole 5K Run in person for the first time since the pandemic! The goal is to raise money to further our mission -- to provide free medical care, medication, and health education to medically uninsured or underinsured residents of Birmingham.

📍 Event Details

• Location: Start and finish at The corner of 1st Avenue South & 16th Street South
• Warm Up: Led by Battle Republic Fitness Studio who is also giving out free class passes
• Entertainment: DJ Rob Langford to hype up the crowd!
• Costume Contest: With prizes for the winners!
• After Party: At 11 am at Good People Brewing Company with a portion of sales benefitting EAB!

🩺 About EAB

We staff two primary care clinics each week, occurring Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. We also hold specialty clinics on Saturdays including Reproductive Health, Mental Health, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, and Optometry. EAB strives to promote health and wellness in the Birmingham community.
