Food for Others Tysons 5K & 1Mile Fun Run

Race Overview

There are over 1.2 million people in the DMV region who identify as food insecure. In Fairfax County, there are over 96,000 people who are food insecure alone. With this being one of the most affluent areas in the nation, this news is shocking. Due to the lingering effects of COVID and the impact of inflation, food banks and pantries around the region are seeing the demand for services drastically increase. We need your support now more than ever.

Event Details

The Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, September 27th brings together the local community for a morning spent raising awareness around food insecurity here in NOVA. What makes this race incredibly unique is that after the race, all participants and volunteers will have the opportunity to write inspirational messages that will be shared with students participating in our Power Pack Program that provides weekend meal packs to over 3,900 students EACH week throughout the school year.

T-Shirt Information

• Update: T-shirts have sold out! If you register 9/26 and after, you may not get a shirt.
• Availability: We will make any remaining shirts available after the race on Saturday, but shirt availability is not guaranteed.
• Sizes: T-shirt sizes are limited and starting to sell out - if your size is no longer available, please choose from the remaining sizes.
• Check: Be sure to check back on race day to see if we have one remaining in your desired size.

Race Start Times

• 5K: 8:00AM
• Fun Run: 8:10AM

Registration Details

• Opens: Registration opens at 7AM.
• 5K Fees: $35 through Sep 13th, $40 Sep 13th - Sept 26th, $45 day of (Sept 27th).
• 1-Mile Fun Run Fees: $30 till Sept 26th, $35 day of (Sept 27th). Fun Run is untimed.
• Online Registration: Closes at 7:45 am on Saturday, September 27th.

Packet Pick-Up

• Early Pick-Up: Will take place at Road Runner Sports on Friday, September 26th from 3PM to 7PM.
• Location: Road Runner Sports address is: 1120 W Broad St, Falls Church, VA 22046.
• Race Day Pick-Up: Will begin at 7:00AM at the Tysons Corner Plaza.

Parking Information

If you are not familiar with the property, the event will be on the outdoor plaza (near Barrel & Bushel or Shake Shack). The PenFed Plaza can be reached by parking in Garage E, which connects to the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center. Park on levels 3, 5, or 6 and take the elevator or stairs to level 4 to walk directly onto the plaza.

SWAG & Experience

Race participants will receive a commemorative bib and a 12th Annual Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run commemorative t-shirt! After the race, join us in celebrating at our race hub. Jam out with our DJ, grab some food/coffee, and visit with our race sponsors!
