Food for Others Tysons 5K & 1Mile Fun Run

🍔 Overview

There are over 1.2 million people in the DMV region who identify as food insecure. In Fairfax County, there are over 96,000 people who are food insecure alone. With this being one of the most affluent areas in the nation, this news is shocking. Due to the lingering effects of COVID and the impact of inflation, food banks and pantries around the region are seeing the demand for services drastically increase. We need your support now more than ever.

🏃‍♂️ Event Details

The Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, September 27th brings together the local community for a morning spent raising awareness around food insecurity here in NOVA.

• Location: PenFed Plaza at Tysons Corner Center (1961 Chain Bridge Rd., Tysons VA)
• Race Start Time: 5K: 8:00AM and the Fun Run: 8:10AM
• Registration: Opens at 7AM
• Online registration: Closes at 7:45 am on Saturday, September 27th

💵 Registration Fees

• 5K: $35 through Sep 13th, $40 Sep 13th - Sept 26th, $45 day of (Sept 27th)
• 1-Mile Fun Run: $30 till Sept 26th, $35 day of (Sept 27th) - Fun Run is untimed
• Packet Pickup: Early Packet pick-up will take place at Road Runner Sports on Friday, September 26th from 3PM to 7PM
• In-person registration: Available during packet pick up and race morning

🚗 Parking Information

If you are not familiar with the property, the event will be on the outdoor plaza (near Barrel & Bushel or Shake Shack). The PenFed Plaza can be reached by parking in Garage E, which connects to the Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner Center. Park on levels 3, 5, or 6 and take the elevator or stairs to level 4 to walk directly onto the plaza.

• SWAG: Race participants will receive a commemorative bib and a 12th Annual Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run commemorative t-shirt!
• Celebration: After the race, join us in celebrating at our race hub. Jam out with our DJ, grab some food/coffee, and visit with our race sponsors!
• Shirt guarantee: Be sure to register before September 13th to guarantee a shirt.
• Awards: TBD

We will be posting them on our site under the results section shortly after the race. Ensure your number is facing front and visible as you finish as you will be able to sort and find the photos by your race number.
